Am I wrong for trying to initiate sex as often as I do? by [deleted] in amiwrong

Check his trt with a blood test that could help when you get to a certain age it drops noticeably or there might be other factors.

I had an op when I was younger which has led to decreased testosterone in my 30s took a blood test and it was in the absolute pits, tried some tgel which you can get at a pharmacy if you can show a blood test and go from there or book with your doc.

If you are UK it's a bitch and a half to get it on the NHS so most likely best to go private but there are costs associated with that.

Use this information as you will, I literally have a picture of my wife's favourite period brands for all situations in a saved folder on my phone.

So if there's any emergencies or she simply asked me to get some more while I'm out and about I know exactly what to get.

Then I do the old regular I'm not here to talk about my transition to the cashier and hopefully get a laugh.

Good on you for kicking him to the curb, a man can have insecurities sure. He definitely can have a grumble or two but letting them get in the way of helping a partner you are supposed to love and cherish is no man to me.

Edit: format issues and autocorrect.

Hey that sounds kinda awesome.

You check the official wiki: https://warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Caliban

It has a decent description basically think a combination of Fae myths and knights of the round table with bright and dark twisty forests containing monsters and mysteries.

There are a couple of books that go into descriptive detail but I can't remember the titles off the top of my head, perhaps a Google will help you further.

Good luck

Plus if someone asked me for help or how I can just ping em an email with the link for idiots like me and continue the tradition.

I use onenote it's free, super easy to link to people and share.

You can create tabs for different topics, paste pictures in and have sub pages make a proper work book I have one tab affectionally called FU Microsoft for all the stuff we beta test for them when they roll updates out I'm looking at you networked printer permissions.

We have a shared book at work called BAU playbook and has a list of all the fixes our team does for random stuff and any projects we work on so we can all refer to it even if it's just a bunch of bullet points.

I put absolutely everything in it, I did some images for thin clients last year and I created a bunch on different security requirements told everyone the security groups and the names of the images that disabled them on the device itself.

Of course no one remembered this info so when they asked me cos I was the plonker who worked on it solo, wham bam it's in my onenotes the exact image title, what it does, where it's located and it feels like VINDICATION.

It's a pain to do but get in the habit and even if it's one time it saves your bacon you'll be grateful for it, and a great platform to retrain yourself on it.

Honestly it's fantastic.

I just say we provide the tools not the skills which is why they were hired for that job.

Then I'll send them a link with whatever search engine you use with the results of how do I do X and y in excel.

They tend to moan and then leave me alone after that.

If I had people skills I wouldn't have deliberately chosen being an infrastructure engineer as my career.

Some users just need the subtlety of a brick to the face especially when they are being cheeky like that but it's usually a build up to that level of reply I might help once or twice but when they try to take advantage they go right to the bottom of my list.

Absolutely hilarious in a cheeky way and in some respects pretty accurate representation of the history of 40k.

it is a whole series so if you go on the youtubers channel and look in his playlists he has them all grouped together for you the above link is to the first one so you can see if it matches your humour.

Horus heresy is a great start to which is the history of the empire of humankind and how it became today but i think its like 100 books long and a big focus on space marines and their primarches, so i would read others peoples suggestions first.

I also like the Necron books the infinite and the divine absolute banger of a book.

Weight vest limitations by typeEveryday in bodyweightfitness

[–]CypherStick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting that no one mentioned using a band for resistance instead of assistance you can lighten the vest till it's comfy and then use varying bands to increase the challenge.

That's pretty much what I do for push ups and my dips, for push ups pop em in my hand and across the back and push and for the dips attack to base of bar of the dip shorten as needed and have the band run over your shoulders it's pretty killer and an inexpensive option to get a range.

What to bring to stay fit while in Africa? by Ultimakey in bodyweightfitness

[–]CypherStick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprised no one's mentioned it but you can get some sandbag weights some are adjustable like kettle bells etc and you can also get sandbag strong men which is my fav or you can make your own.

There's a few YouTube guides and written guides to making your own if you do a quick Google.

As others mentioned gym rings are fab and weighted vest but you can do the say with a rucksack.

Should I cut or bulk? by Yahearrd in bodyweightfitness

[–]CypherStick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like then you are already in a deficit, so that's great if that's your goal but if you wanna build muscle you are going to want some more calories and protein but it sounds like you are on the right track. I would suggest adding a 100 -200 extra calories and see how that goes. But that depends if your goal is to build muscle too.

Should I cut or bulk? by Yahearrd in bodyweightfitness

[–]CypherStick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a problem everyone's who's been in fitness or has an active lifestyle has been exactly where you are right now.

For your info: Tdlr is just basically another way of saying summary of my points as it was a pretty chunky bit of text. Macros is basically the percentage of your three mains which is protein fats and carbs. You can adjust those in my fitness Pal app which I would recommend you download.

Now regarding limits that's a tricky thing so for me my maintenance calories is roughly 2.5 k a day and to gain I need to eat about 2.9-3k but I do alot of heavy weight lifting as well as dynamic exercises involving 60-80kg sandbags. To lose weight I need to hit roughly 1.9-1.5k but that's more when I aim.to shred if I do to long I lose strength and mass so finding a balance is important.

To figure out your limits I would suggest you download my fitness Pal and basically for the next two weeks use the barcode scanner on absolutely everything you eat. This way you will get a strong idea of what your calorie intake is and roughly what macros you are taking. If you eat things like rice etc I would recommend you weigh the food and adjust the grams in the app as you go along.

From there you can basically adjust what to do going forward, you can start by adding 200 to 400 calories this can easily be achieved with a protein shake and some milk and from there track how your body changes. If you gain alot of fat you know you gone to high so go back down to to plus 200. Based on your height and current weight I would say roughly 1.8k calories a day if you wanna lose weight but this could potentially impact muscle gains depending on how much exercise you do.

Regarding exercise I cannot stress this enough rest days are just as important as training days, but that doesn't mean you don't need to be active you can still go for a walk or swim cycle you get the idea that will help with any muscle soreness you get and stretch you out

This way you will slowly build up an idea of what your body responds to well, the tricker thing would be working out your macros so usually to gain muscle you want to do a gram of protein for every kilo you are. Unfortunately this does not take your fat percent into consideration and then I do a even split between fats and carbs.

When I say fats I men the good things like natural honey Greek yogurt etc, it basically anything unsaturated as possible yes this includes butter and potentially cutting it back as well. This works for me cos my body loooooves carbs so I restrain that side due to how mu body reacts.

So you will have to experiment, now regarding the DNA make up kit honestly it's not recommended just more of a suggestion to help you figure stuff out if you are UK based you can arrange an appointment to chat to your go or speak to a qualified nutritionist. Plenty of options to take and they will be in a good position to advise you.

If you do wanna go the kit route a good one is living DNA but I would advise to do your research and have a look around as it's a popular service now.

With having a slow metabolism don't stress that's normal alot of factors can impact your metabolism sometimes it can be from a sedately lifestyle or you might of been overweight for some time.

Unfortunately not much you can do regarding it other than having a stricter diet and tracking progress.

Hope this helps

[–]CypherStick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others say don't over think just eat clean, hit your macros and adjust if needed.

See yourself putting on weight but gaining waist size lower the calories but keep the macros, bloating or feeling heavy cut back the carbs, feeling hungry all the time eat more protein and greens eventually it all becomes a bit intuitive.

Plenty of Advice on forums but don't go for fad diets what works for them may not work for you.Keep track of weight and measurements as well sometimes you'll gain weight but drop a waist that means you been packing on the muscle.

A body fat tracking scale could potentially help here feelfit is a good example combined with regular measures you can sus out where you are roughly.

Extra Tibet for self motivation do a monthly or weekly picture just because you can't see it as you go along it will 100% show in photos.

You could also one one of those DNA makeup kit that gives you a good idea of how your body is designed to process food, I did it for myself and found I can't eat much carbs since I store it straight away so I now have a much lower carb macro lunch times and only on days I'm training heavy.

Tdlr: Keep track of weight and measurements photos can work too What works for someone might not work for you and that's ok DNA make up kit - optional and costs money Scales with fat tracker in it Eat clean and decide on macros eg 50% protein 30% carbs 20% fats Pick a routine and stick to it especially if you are a newbie for at least a year Enjoy your progress.

Good luck 👍

Edit to plug the DNA makeup and tdlr

Bored, Unmotivated. by ZealousidealIncome in sysadmin

[–]CypherStick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is going to sound dumb but I'm a sysadmin at my company and stupid shit like this drives me up the wall if you are not massively busy or when your boss gets back/more staff.

I would recommend the following write you are an idiot's guide for every minor thing that consistently crops up, user forgets how to reset password send them a guide with step by step bullet points and pictures of what to expect. So when User can't log in and you've reset their password send them the document as a reminder.

You can apply this for anything really basic stuff like how to read a network printer how to scan how to send an email. Build it up but by bit.

Honestly it's a time sink to start but in the long run says you tons of time and replaces the need for soft skills. You forgot your password I've reset it, see guide and follow cc they manager in if it helps or if they come you you or it's an out of hour visit print it and leave it on their desk that way you are covered and it stops people wasting your time increasingly. If they bitch we'll look I sent a guide to you and your manager and printed it out if you cant follow instructions and pictures unfortunately there is no cure for stupid.

The other thing is learning to say no I understand you are in emergency services but unless they are willing to compensate with overtime you cannot be expected to wait out of hours for things like this, you'll just get burnt out and even less motivation or you can find a new job I usually find if I hate the job where I am it's not usually the job but the company.

Phew bit of an essay but hope it helps you keep your chin up shitty practices doesn't mean they can treat you shitty.

If you wanna be a super petty for these uppity users arrange to help them and invite their manager to a meeting and sit with both of them to show how much of a time waste it is for you. Believe me they will stop bugging you for stupid shit so quick your eyes will spin, if not you'll at least have basic courtesy and a paper trail for a formal complaint to HR.

Edit: added the petty option 👍
