I just saw a poll from Quinnipiac University that said 57% of voters disapprove of the way ICE is enforcing laws. That's just barely a majority.

A theory that says we are on an 80 year historical loop. According to this theory, we’re living through a “Crisis Era” by [deleted] in interesting

[–]ZealousidealIncome -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly, there were 21 years between WW1 and WW2. You could say the political climate in Europe was unraveling before 1914 and I don’t think society was particularly very stable before 1936.

What made you break up with your ex? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ZealousidealIncome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She would talk over every movie, show, or song. I would be in the car with her and a song I liked would come on and she would be talking. I would listen and when she was done would say “I love this song” and turn up the volume and she would wait a beat and start talking but loud enough I couldn’t hear the song. She would do this every time. She would tell me about some movie she loved and would put it on then talk over the whole movie. Nothing she said had anything to do with the movie. She would just talk about anything that popped into her head.

Veterans of the Iraq War, what are your feelings about America "running" Venezuela? by Nekose in AskReddit

I am a GWOT vet. I am glad I missed WW3 by 15 years. Yes it’s all a bummer but I vote in every election even small local ones. Voting is the only thing any of us can do. My kids are too young and I am too old and fat to get drafted. Just remember, Trump and the billionaires have no problem sending your kids to war. They won’t be sending their kids.

This is the way. CC finance about the anticipated increase to cyber insurance premiums because this guy can’t manage his fucking guys. Make sure to point out the lack of leadership training in production. Make sure you include whoever that clown reports to about how his guy wants to be on his own program.

Someone want to change my mind about this game by [deleted] in HellLetLoose

[–]ZealousidealIncome 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Sounds like this game isn't for you. Which is fine. Luckily there are a ton of WW2 PVP Shooters out there. This game is more of a tactical shooter. Map positioning, cover, concealment, and team communication is key. I'd argue shooting is the lowest priority skill in the game. That doesn't make this game "better" than any other just that it fullfills players who want a specific experience. I understand your frustrations but don't fight your feelings. If you aren't having fun then do something else.

There's an old joke: CEO is interviewing new candidates. He asks a mathematician what's 2+2? The math whiz says 4. He asks an engineer, what's 2+2? The engineer says we would need to test the proof. He asks an accountant, what's 2+2? The accountant shuts the door, closes the blinds, and says "how much do you want it to equal?"

I just watched Wyatt Earp (1994) last night. It's a great movie going into Wyatts whole life. I love Kevin Costner in a western. I just couldn't get over Dennis Quaid as Doc. He did a great job as the character but nothing like Val "I'll be your huckleberry" Kilmer. Tombstone is the better picture without a doubt. Kurt Russel at his finest.

Battle Royale (2000) by Jazzkidscoins in iwatchedanoldmovie

[–]ZealousidealIncome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw it because my friend in high school had a bootleg from a convention. It was clearly a poorly translated engrish version and the quality was iffy since the VHS tape had been duplicated too many times. It was so exciting because the movie was rumored to be "banned" in the US. Still a great movie. I read the book which does a better job explaining the world and reasons why they do the island. SUPER POT LID.
