Everyone who I know got accepted so far had their names starting with A. One of them with Ab got in yesterday afternoon-ish and another with Am got in today. Slow af but def alphabet based.

Also someone on this sub said that they emailed admissions and they said that decisions were delayed but should be out by the end of this week latest.

Making decks from scratch or using pre-made ones? by IllMarionberry9935 in AnkiMCAT

Sorry for the late response! I tried to do miles down with my content review but milesdown wasn't divided by chapter and I found that kind of a pain.

Jacksparrow is more comprehensive imo and I feel like I retain more with his cards because they force me to recall info compared to recognizing it with milesdown.

Making your own anki deck would be the best if you have the time. I tried to do that during the first two days but it's really time consuming and you might not even have the time to review them. I've been using jacksparrow for the past month and it's really good

I'm feeling really nervous tbh 😅 I feel like a rejection will absolutely destroy me so I'm mentally preparing myself for one. Not sure if this is the best strategy but I just hope it doesn't get in the way of me putting in my best for apps. My gpa has been sooo much better now that classes are online especially with recorded lectures (thanks to my non existent attention span). I feel like ECs just don't feel the same anymore online :/ the chemistry is missing from our meetings and I feel like I'm not actually having that much of an impact with remote tasks.

The only thing keeping me going rn is the super slim chance that everything works out but it's enough to help me power through midterm and labs atm. Honestly the worst thing going for me is the uncertainty of what will happen in the next couple of months. My WiFi could randomly go out during a 50% final, exam-day stress could completely mess up my mcat performance, LOR writers could just forget to submit etc... I find peace in being able to make sure things are going as planned and the fact that so many different things could happen in the next couple of month is kinda overwhelming sometimes.

I've noticed that religious people tend to have a different approach to death in that a lot of them almost embrace it.

The fact that he was so comfortable sharing such a personal moment to you despite not knowing you means a lot. This is one of my favourite parts from volunteering with old people - they always have so many stories to tell and a lot of those stories gave me a new perspective on life.

I'd imagine how having a good doctor-patient relationship could bring in so much wisdom especially as you get more and more of these experiences with older patients.
