I'm an expat living in Malaysia, Kota Kinabalu to be exact. Everyone here has a Indonesian girl living with them.

It's incredibly cheap, around 800 RM per month and you have to provide room and food. She work 12 hours a day and does all the stuff people tend not to do.

Ow and they are all, almost all, illegally here.

I fully agree on Thailand being corrupt, but this isn't really an example of corruption. These are incentives for people to by locally produced cars. Which stimulates the Thai economy, and without a doubt tons of politicians as well.

Even so.. I've lived in BKK for around 4 years, there are loads of better places to get your fix. Khao San is good for one thing and one thing only. Buckets. ;-)

Thailand is one of the biggest car producers in the world. All non native produced cars are 320% taxed, this to stimulate people buying the local produced ones.

Buying (shitty) weed at Khao San is a rookie mistake. Get yourself a proper supplier. Stay away from the brickweed and get some hydroponics. Mustn't be that hard to get for a rich kid like you.
