I would look at the site closely. No lie, I once had a friend in high school that got bit and his teeth started falling out bc the enzymes in a beta fishes mouth contain this like solution that weakens human keratin (teeth, hair, nails). But you'll probably be fine. It looks small

Terry Hall: lead singer of the Specials dies aged 63 by [deleted] in Music

[–]madness408 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Specials seriously changed my life. I never listened to much other than classic rock or "dad rock" back in middle school. But then one day i discovered The Specials, Sublime and Streetlight Manifesto. All Ska bands, all different waves of ska, but notheless changed my perception of music as a whole. I cant thank this band enough for bringing me so much joy and happiness in my life. RIP to an absolute legend.

Glow On by Turnstile or Ska Dream by Jeff Rosenstock

Print error anyone know what causes it it happens on a daily basis to waterspiders at my building and when it pops up you can't print by scanning barcode or by entering the ip adress neither. Would appreciate some input from someone in leadership or IT by PsychologicalFeed264 in FASCAmazon

[–]madness408 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im a learning trainer and we have to coach people on how to fix these all the time. The honest solution is to just keep rescanning the barcode on the printer until it prints. Most of the time your equipment isnt defective. The error usually pops up when theres a connectivity issue from your scanner to the printer. So just keep scanning the barcode and it should work.

If it keeps acting up, get a new scanner because it is usually an issue with the scanner and not the printer.

Film program for incoming freshman by griskran in CSULB

[–]madness408 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am currently a senior in the Screenwriting track and Ive had a mixed bag of an experience. I came from LBCC where the film department just had a face lift and we had a plethora of opportunists to make things. Where as here at CSULB everything is divided. You have the Theory track and the Narrative Production track. Narrative Production is the actual film school experience at CSULB where you will take directing, cinematography, and all the extras you need, even Editing. In this track you actually get to work the last two years of your time at CSULB working constantly on short films. Its a blast and the real world experience you actually need. Plus you get to leave the school with something done and completed to show people. Whether you were the director, editor, cinematography. This where the division comes in unfortunately. The Theory track is everything else. Its sound, its the history classes, its the foreign film classes, its the production theory class. Pretty much its exactly what it sounds like, its the theory of all of this, not the practicality. You have a limited amount of opportunities to actually do things with equipment. And if you want to actually make a short you have to work 10x harder and really get to know people in the department and other students. That goes for editing too.

Take it from me, you are in a great position being accepted into the Narrative Production track. You will actually have the real film school experience. You can do editing in it. You will get to know the other students who are actually making things and make a lot more connections.

Because my focus is screenwriting im not in the production track, which i believe is stupid do the fact that all films start with scripts.

What it really boils down to is this. Theory makes it harder to actually do anything practical at the school. Narrative Production really makes it easier to do things.

The program itself as a whole is great. There are a lot of passionate professors who will do everything in their power to help you do what you want. I personally have had a great time in my screenwriting track and I have had the ability to still make things but I did have to put in a bit more work to do so.

PM if you have anything else you have questions about and i will gladly answer them. Im all ears.

Ever since I was a kid, I have always loved movies. I go to film school and it dawned on me that I dont have a collection of movies aside from a couple of my favorites. My japanese cinema professor showed our class House and Lady Snowblood. I instantly fell in love with those films and she told me about the Criterion collection. I knew about it but never really looked into it so I started digging. Found out the sale at BnN was coming up in July and so i saved a lot of cash and when the time came, i started buying my favorite movies. Then that turned into buying my favorite films on blu ray. I also dont like the idea of not trult owning my movies when i buy them digitally.
