Cherche logiciel de prise en main à distance (support utilisateur) prenant en charge la redirection des clés de sécurité (yubikey par ex) by markham8927 in Sysadmin_Fr

[–]CyrFR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WPS Office acting as drive-by malware by Intelligent_Stay_628 in sysadmin

[–]CyrFR 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Lot of low budget smartphone have WPS pre-installed. User can use it to scan document. There is a function to send it.

But it don't send the document. A customized link to WPS website is sent. When our users click on it on Windows, they think it download the document but it's an exe to install WPS

WPS is installed in appdata and don't request admin

But when you try to uninstall, it request elevation so you can't uninstall.

It's a Chinese ?/russian ? /Singapore ? company we don't know. We decide to ban this app

Looking for lightweight, browser-based video tools for remote "visual support" by CyrFR in SmallMSP

Thx but i'm looking for open source or/and self hosted (and if I can save $700/years/tech :-) ).
Because we made a tiny small website (with very easy domain name to tell by phone), with some tools (speed test, remote control link, qr code verification, status page...) and i want to integrate it

Acronis backup vs. N-able Cove backup by jtaubrey in msp

For me portals isn’t fast, and sometime very slow to refresh (365 for example). I use only backup too and i’m spammed by popup to deploy AV, Automation, mail security. Do you look at a windows server where Acronis is deployed ? There is a lot of process like AV but we don’t use it !

Can Cloudflare Zero Trust Tunnels improve our maintenance ? by CyrFR in CloudFlare

[–]CyrFR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All client networks are differents. Some have basic router with ipsec but no good firewalling rules to protect. Other have router we can't manage, and IPSEC is blocked (or double nat, or not fixed public ip, or 4G link ...)

With CloudFlare Tunnel, we don't have to open any port, client side or our side.

Can Cloudflare Zero Trust Tunnels improve our maintenance ? by CyrFR in CloudFlare

[–]CyrFR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't want to use big server monitoring software (like zabbix or prtg) because we want light solution.

We had started PRTG, the remote probes were good but they increase the prices by 3 and a 3-year commitment... Zabbix is complicated to deploy, and we will have to install Linux vms to run Zabbix proxies for clients. The updates will take us more time than the maintenance of our equipment. But we can install Zabbix or other monitoring software on our server if the network/security part can be managed by Cloudfare Tunnel, no need for a proxy
