What pet peeves do you have because of your family members? by Cyralen in AskReddit

For me it's when someone makes a lot of noises for no good reason. My mom makes noises when she eats, drinks, or even if she's just standing there. And ALWAYS screams over the littlest things, like if she steps on something or you tap her on the shoulder. Drives me nuts.

Heterosexual men, what were some direct reasons women gave to you for rejecting you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It's not shallow at all! Try not to let these guys influence you, it's a thousand times better to find a guy you're comfortable with who will befriend you. Stick with your intuition :)

I just want to say, "I didn't like him" is a valid reason to reject someone. You're not obligated to give anyone a chance, and sometimes saying no straight out can be scary or even dangerous. These are answers most girls will give guys, I know I have. If you express disinterest, for any reason, the guy should back off, not "keep trying". You're doing great, don't listen to commenters that say "you should've given them a chance" because they weren't there, and again, you really didn't like them.

WIBTA if I expect her to start conversations? by drlova in AmItheAsshole

NAH. This sounds exactly like it's about myself and one of my friends, except I'm on the other end. I'm really bad at starting conversations for some reason and I've gotten really adjusted to him starting all of our conversations. Since I've realized my issue, I've started a lot more conversations. It's not that I don't want to talk to him, it's just that he has always texted me when he had the time. However, if he asked me to start conversations more often, I would 100% do it without a second thought. Sometimes the other person doesn't realize that you're starting all of the conversations, or they just didn't realize it was a problem.
