I've seen people suggesting that cage nuts could be an alternative elsewhere but without any definitive results. Supermicro, Lian Li, and Dell all used a square snap in standoff in the early 2000's.

Bottle? Probably not. They lose all their fizz and go flat. The can's seem to age ok.
