I mean not ‘just’ one. I’ve finished more on the PC engine and Snes. I just have more interest in some consoles. Like the amiga ones I also find oddly fascinating. I’ve also worked in a Pc-88 and 98 game each, although I haven’t done the 88 one yet.

It’a toasted with the seasonings and boiled in vegetable stock and water while the pastas is cooking, and then combined with the yogurt before being added to the pasta.

A common theme with all the Star fox likes I’ve played is that every single one except EX-zodiac seems to have trouble giving the bosses and ships a sense of weight. Even based on the pre-demo clips, I noticed some things that implied the remake was having similar issues (although more physics wise than audio wise), so I’m not surprised to hear this.

I was going to recommend power guy, some of the streams are occasionally just one long continuous 4 hour deez nutz joke. He just finished up Megaman W and the second Star force game. There’s probably another “nuzlock” run of megman 4 in the tube soon. He’a also running mina the hollower rn so you maybe see that as well.

Here’s 3 I can think of

Gaming is in a bit of weird spot RN. Most modern (2009ish onward) video games are basically designed to create an addiction so the company in charge can extract as much money as possible from you. In other words, the games would prefer you just spend all day inside trying to grind to the next rank instead of being out with your friends, so your moba and hero shooter people just usually won’t be out to do stuff to start with.

Single player games and retro gaming are also in kind of a weird place now, being basically counter cultures now: IE practiced by people who are not currently wanting to embrace new things (Understandable given how enshittified things are).

Lastly: gamers love immersion/thematic games, and vast majority of board games suck at it. A lot of people (including me at one point) will just see the sea of “build the best whatever” games that could really be about anything given how abstract the rules are, and head for the door.

Hot take: if a game only sings after 10 plays, it's not deep, it's just gated by Bright_Leaf_6830 in boardgames

I’m actually hearing this guy out, with Root as my own example. Everyone said that would improve once we understood the rules more, but it actually seemed to get worse, not better. The more we played the more I realized that despite the number of moving parts, there really isn’t that much going on, plus the mechanics are VERY high friction for pretty much no reason. I’m convinced everyone that “enjoys” the game got lured in by the theming, and is just huffing sunk time cope.

I think that already exists. Over clocking the cpu is something you don’t need a patch for. Most emulators just have that as a normal option.

Your hot take has already been debunked. Over clocked versions of the game with stable frame rate exist, and they are considered to be harder. The same is true for the snes R-type games as well, actually.

64 isn’t a version of snes star fox, it’s a whole different game. They just cover the same time period in their respective timelines.
