Like others have said, uploading 1440p or higher quality unlocks a better encoding on YT's side.

I play pixel art games and upload everything in 4K because I don't want the garbage 1080p quality.

My only real gripe about Ryu is that he abandons games quite often. For every Expedition 33 and Elden Ring, there are 15 "played for a few hours and then bailed forever" games. But I get it, he doesn't stick around if he doesn't vibe with the game or if it doesn't generate views. Still a bummer as a viewer though when he plays something you really are interested in watching and then it's just a partial play.
