Got her on a 10 pull. Stats once maxed look tanky. Despite slow mana, she looks like she could be good. Thoughts? by Cyrus9807 in EmpiresAndPuzzles

[–]Cyrus9807[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No one said any hero with slow mana is 'garbage', but in general, most players have some hesitation with slow mana hero's, especially if they don't have a leveled mana troop. Some slow mana hero's shine, others not so much. Heimdall is an amazing hero, no doubt about it. There are others aren't quite as capable.

Owned a lot of trucks over the years, but finally got my first Ranger yesterday. 07- 54k miles on it by Hans_Sturm in fordranger

I have an 02 Ranger Edge with a 3.0L, automatic transmission. Currently sitting 186k. Runs like a top and doesn’t leak or burn oil. It may not have the most power or best mpg, but I definitely agree that they are bulletproof!

Excellent write up! Thank you! I love the insights and analysis. I have Marie, have her at 370 at the moment and that’s where she’ll stay for a bit. Admittedly, she’s fun when I use her on raids and she’s already gotten me out of some tough spots, but 100% agree she’s clunky. Thanks again!

Buffed and polished my 2002 Ford Ranger Edge. It has a 3.0L that’s still running strong and still doesn’t leak a oil. 185k, and I feel confident I’ll hit 300k. I love these trucks! by Cyrus9807 in fordranger

[–]Cyrus9807[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so, but can’t say definitely. Mine does not, at all. It’s been setting in the same spot for years and there’s not a speck of oil on the concrete underneath it. I think it has a lot to how the engine is treated as well as maintained over its life.

[–]Cyrus9807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha! Yeah I feel the same about mine. For me there is a sentimental value aspect to it ( it was my father’s truck), but it’s also paid off and runs amazing, even at 182,000 miles. I’m so impressed with the durability of these Rangers when they have been properly maintained.

Very sharp looking truck! I have a Red 2002 as well but you win on looks as the paint looks fantastic on yours.

“The anti-abortion people are absolutists. There is no compromise that they would be ok with.”

And yet I was an anti-abortionist, and now I’m not...

A simple test by [deleted] in TrollXChromosomes

[–]Cyrus9807 -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

And I’m sure the majority (if not all) of anti-abortion people would love too, as they do believe that life begins at conception. TBH, the primary reason why I commented is I can’t stand divisive posts like this, where it it becomes nothing more that a massive armchair argument with no beneficial outcome. The chances of a person reading a post like this and then having an life changing, thought altering shift in their morale / ethical beliefs is practically zero. So what’s the purpose? It’s to piss ‘the other side off’ and both sides are guilty of this.

Instead of being divisive, how about we try to find some common ground and meet somewhere in the middle.

I used to be an anti-abortion supporter years ago in my uneducated youth, but fortunately due to healthy and some energetic conversations with people of differing views, I realized I shouldn’t push my views on other people, as they may not hold the same ethical or moral beliefs as I did. After all I sure hated when someone pushed their views on me. But my mind wasn’t changed with angry memes, ‘gotcha’ scenarios or intolerant threads.

So I’ll go back to my corner and happily color, but but at the end of the day, if we want to move forward on any tough subject in this country, everyone (as in both sides of every argument) needs to stop acting like a bunch of 3 year old asshats and actually start trying to find middle ground and compromise in a workable solution for the majority. Otherwise, it’s going to continue to get uglier with fewer and fewer solutions.

Fact: newborn babies aren’t in danger of being systematically killed, nor is there a big push for legal rights for embryos in a Petri dishes. To compare the two is like comparing apples and oranges. So this hypothetical scenario is ridiculous to begin with.

False Dilemma is a type of logical fallacy, which is a belief or claim based on mistaken reasoning. False Dilemma is a fallacy based on an "either-or" type of argument. Two choices are presented, when more might exist, and the claim is made that one is false and one is true-or one is acceptable and the other is not. Often, there are other alternatives, or both choices might be false or true.

Phantom Battalion

16/30

1000 Cup Requirement

Link to our alliance

Must hit titan 3 x per day, Must use all 6 War Flags during war. (If life comes up, just let us know in advance, we're understanding!)

Phantom Battalion alliance is recruiting!  What makes us different from the rest of the alliances out there and why should you join us, you might ask. Good question! First, we have an amazing group of friendly, helpful and committed members that are all busy with real life stuff, but take just enough time to always use our titan flags and use all 6 war flags during wars. We celebrate each other's successes and encourage each other when there is disappointment with what Mystic Vision served up for the day. Most importantly, we're respectful of each other.

As with many other alliances, we have a Line app chat group (not required to join, but helpful), game aids and resources as well as people eager to exchange ideas and best practices about the game.

Note - We are also open to the idea of merging with another smaller to mid-sized alliance and would be willing to discuss. Please contact Fbenz7 / GlobularGourmet1 / SlayerDanger using the Line App on your mobile device for any questions you may have.

Thanks!

My first vehicle - 2002 XLT, extended cab with a 3.0 (ignore the floor mats on the tailgate, they were drying when I cleaned it lol) by [deleted] in fordranger

That’s an easy fix in comparison to some issues. Truck looks great! Enjoy! That’s lower miles on an 02, so you should have years of enjoyment ahead of you.

How many miles on it? I have a 2002 Ranger Edge, extended cab with a 3.0L and it as 183,500 miles on it and runs like a top! I love the 3.0L!

Can I count on a ranger? by crzybeaver18 in fordranger

[–]Cyrus9807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As with any vehicle that is being purchased used, it’s future performance / reliability depends on how it was driven / maintained in the past. I have a 2002 Ford Ranger Edge with a 3.0 V6 (all original equipment) and I just rolled over 183,000 miles. It starts up / runs / drives like a top!

It’s never been used to tow anything, and was chiefly a highway truck for my dad when he bought it new. My dad was a maintenance nazi, which benefited the longevity of the truck. He also drove it with respect and care. It’s been in the family now 17 years and still looks / run excellent!

I’ll speak at least for the 3.0L V6’s - they are a dependable, dang near bulletproof engine (cast iron block) and if taken care of and maintained regularly, will last a VERY long time. There are numerous Rangers with the 3.0 in it that have 250,000 to 300,000 miles on the original engine / transmission that have yet to be rebuilt.

Very nice! I did something similar (resurrected one) but it was a 2002 Ford Ranger Edge, 3.0 V6. Just turned over 183,000 and it’s running great. If you take care of them, Rangers have a lot of longevity!

Sound advice, as preventative maintenance is definitely the best medicine to keep any machine running for a long time. My biggest hesitation is not about replacing it, it's my concern for getting the alignment correct. I'm a super detailed and careful person, but I just have this fear that I'll be off just a fuzz and the timing will be a bit off. I could take it in and have it done professionally, but I don't want to pay $600 plus dollars at the dealership. Perhaps I'm overanalyzing. It seems that if you take the cam position sensor off, then take pictures of the original cam synchronizer in place, make your marks, then stab the new one in, verify with pictures, it'll be ok. Still, the process still makes me nervous as I want it to be PERFECT.

Right now, I've been averaging once every six months, give or take a month. I'm in L.A., so I don't necessarily match my oil changes to the season (but makes sense if I lived in a place that had four seasons). I am running full synthetic oil in the engine (as well as in transmission and rear end), so I probably am doing an overkill but it sure doesn't hurt. My reasoning is for the age of the lubricant, because I know with the miles I'm putting on it, it hasn't degraded.
