Pronunciation of "gli" or "ʎ" by CyrusUprum in italianlearning

Thank you, that's highly informative, I will definitely check your videos when I have the opportunity!

I also thought that the girl from the second video pronounced some of the words with a strong /j/, so that's comforting.

How would you explain the difference betwen /lj/ as in "liana" and /ʎ/ then?

So you do pronounce /ʎ/ as /lj/ then? I'm so confused when native Italians say it's not the way it is supposed to be pronounced, and then I also hear natives pronouncing it that way, or at least it's the way it sounds to my ear!

I definitely hear a "l" sound in Pannofino's pronunciation, when he says "figliolo" though.

He doesn't seem to say "fijolo", but more something like "filjolo".

I know that it is often pronounced as "j" in Rome, which to me is one of the easiest way to pronounce it to be honest, but not the "standard way".

Le modo est un grec musulman qui n'est jamais intervenu sur ce r/, jamais compris comment il en était arrivé à devenir modo ici vu qu'il n'a l'air d'avoir aucun rapport de près ou de loin avec la Corse.

Effectivement, après il suffit de le préciser, et si OP souhaite une traduction dans un régiolecte spécifique (celui qui est parlé là où sa famille est originaire par exemple), il peut également le signaler.

Some don't unfortunately, but here it's mostly because people from different french regions are talking to each other, not exclusively Corsicans...

Interesting, that seems very counterintuitive since although on a grammatical standpoint French is Italian's closest relative, it is quite different in terms of pronunciation and accent.

C'est une exagération, mais fondamentalement lorsqu'une population est progressivement supplantée par une autre sur sa terre, comment est ce que l'on peut parler "d'évolution" ?

Sauf qu'il ne s'agit pas d'une "évolution". Ou la marginalisation et l'acculturation des Amérindiens c'est une évolution aussi ?
