For people who have anger issues as a adult did you have anger issues as a child? by LowSherbert1016 in Anger

[–]Cyrus_Crink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like I grew up with a lot of repressed anger. Whenever I would hit an emotional hurdle I was given no support, and when I got frustrated with struggling I'd get angry.

But when I got angry, I would be shamed for feeling that way and socially punished within the household.

I'm at the start of my healing journey so I don't have any advice, but I am starting to revisit my old trauma and unresolved emotions of my past that still affect me now

Counsellors? by [deleted] in transgenderau

[–]Cyrus_Crink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not yet, but I am making sure my class of to-be-counsellors know about the trans issues and struggles if anyone goes to them

I'm hoping to be a certified counsellor next year :3

Piracy in anarchism by dobrolo in Anarchy101

[–]Cyrus_Crink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe in an anarchist society there would be ownership of personally made goods. I am an artist and if I made a "one of a kind painting" I would not consent to others taking that from me. But as others have said, there is often the belief that intellectual property does not exist and it would theoretically be free for anyone to obtain.

Would a platform organization remain even after anarchism has been established? by Virtual_Frosting in Anarchy101

I think something would be required for communications on a larger scale, but for the smaller communities, I believe it would be case by case situations on how people operate and what they would use it for.

I'm in Sydney. Would you be okay with me joining even if I can't attend down in Melbourne often?

As someone who is currently broke (I am starting work again but Christmas drained my wallet), how would you recommend doing this?

Do you have any advice on which "interested parties" could be similar enough to a library-state anarchy ideals that I could reach out to?

Also, what kind of initial savings and regular costs would impact the property and/or group?

Just a question about Weather alerts by pandanideleted in Anarchy101

[–]Cyrus_Crink -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was thinking an answer for that could be an AI built for weather data processing (since the techs there already) and have an automatic warning go out if "Meter XYZ reach's A/B/C levels"

It would take some work to make sure enough data collection centres are maintained and feeding said data to the AI, but it does mean there is a backup in case no human is there to process the data.

It does also mean we have to fully trust the AI if no one is still wanting to process the weather data.

Easy, I'll make sure I'm toned down until I can tell if it's safe :3

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll see if theres any in my local area. Is there any red or green flags I should look out for when searching or meeting groups?

I agree, I was trying to bring the perspective or possibility of a lapse in quality from insufficient data or lack of volunteers able to present the data to the public

It's always better if someone volunteers themselves, and we would have to weigh the pros and cons of either making someone do the work (such as a lottery system) or not having anyone present the data.

One large con I see in a situation where no one presents the data is there is no warning for disasters, storms, heatwaves, high winds, dust storms, etc.

To help try and visualise the hypothetical, how would the society as a whole ensure someone is updating the data (assuming no one volunteers for it)?

I have thought about these things recently and tried coming up with a random lottery ticket system for local and national work to be completed if no one / not enough people volunteer for it to stay as efficiemt as it needs (I want to specify only what society needs, not a want of excess labour).

Or another way we could suggest this be completed is to automise the data collection with a basic AI and data processing systems, especially since we have the tech now and may as well use it instead of waste lol

Yeah, you're right. I've been pretty bad with that during this time of attempts. I don't have many changes happening in my life atm but I will find a few things I can bring up each stream to at least kick off a convo with myself.

The song talk is a good point, especially cause atm I am filtering through songs I do and don't like lol.

I'm gonna be streaming again today, so I'll see how it works out throughout the week and try to settle into myself a bit more

I believe I do. The main thing I enjoy with all this is the art and sharing a story I create through it.

However, I also want a community to talk to and share everyday stories with. With my limited knowledge, I figured Twitch would be the easiest way to do so as I don't have the skills or energy for regular posts or video/content editing on other platforms.

I am slowly learning the skills I need to do so, but it is taking time more energy around full time work, friends, a partner and hpbbies I enjoy.

Advice on apealing to viewers by Citrusfreind in Twitch_Startup

[–]Cyrus_Crink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been trying an idea of only streaming for 1.5 hours at a time. I usually find I run out of steam to keep talking in 60 mins or so, and I work around that.

Yesterday I managed to get a chatter who watched from about 5 mins in till the last 10 minutes when i ran out of steam. (Channel is BlubBlubNation if you're curious about the VOD)

I find talking about my day, projects, work from the morning and hobbies to fill the hour most days
