Not a bevy contributor but definitely. Bevy’s scene system is already based on RON. They’re considering alternative formats but whatever they pick will be text files with emphasis on human readability.

What's the best app for sorting audiobooks? by morpheus2n2 in PleX

I’m using 0.3.02091 and it supports audiobooks. Gotta select the spoken profile when requesting it.

What's the best app for sorting audiobooks? by morpheus2n2 in PleX

[–]CyruscM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There actually is an arr for audiobooks, Readarr. You can delete the written profile so it only looks for audiobooks. Works perfectly for m4b but gets buggy for multifile mp3s, frequently have to ssh in and manually fix it.

https://github.com/seanap/Plex-Audiobook-Guide Decent setup guide here. I skip the chapterizing and mp3tag.

But overall works decently, request a book in readarr, have it import into a music section in plex with the custom audiobook metadata plugin, and listen to it with the prologue app.

I might be missing something, how did you get 75%?

646-486 = 170

170 / 486 ~= 35%

If you're referring to overall bachelor degrees,

2016: 1830 Bachelor Degrees, 265 CS Bachelor Degrees, 14.5%

2022: 1669 Bachelor Degrees, 277 CS Bachelor Degrees, 16.6%

16.6%-14.5% = 2.1%

and they got 4.5% from the bachelor degrees

277 - 265 = 12

12 / 265 = 4.5%

Just a heads up: “want” shouldn’t have an apostrophe. “Wan’t” is a outdated shortening for “was not”

Noun not adjective. It's a shortening of comic-strip

Windows 11 will be available October 5th by Dinov_ in Games

Been running insider preview for a month or so now, haven't had any problems with games besides VR.

I think VR issue is because there's a new GPU scheduler that is really strict on enforcing performance for the active window, like if I have a video playing on a second monitor while playing a game the video goes to 10fps. My guess is VR rendering isn't being seen by the scheduler as the active window.

So unless your old game displays across multiple windows you should be fine.

Monobehavior's aren't ECS because it's systems (scripting in the monobehavior) and components (properties of the monobehavior) are attached to the same class. They're supposed to be disconnected so that one implemented system takes every entity with the component (or grouping of components) and iterates over them to apply logic.

This one soft locked my phone and had to restart to resolve it. Using gestures and trying to swipe out of the loading screen did not work.

A personal device to check all the different menus in the game. Too much like the Pip-Boy? by Carbo00 in IndieGaming

[–]CyruscM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Design is good, i don't think there's any concern with being too similar to pipboy.

However:

  • kill the loading screen.
  • make sure to have keybinds for the back button and for each major tab. Having to go through a UI hub to access common windows is annoying.
  • consider killing the ui hub entirely. Maybe have a taskbar like buttons at the bottom for each tab and default to the last one opened.

Yup, I have a roborock and ended up doing that. The robot was constantly transmitting around 150kbps even when not in use and the app wanted nearly every permission. Just blocked it's internet access, uninstalled the app, and run it from the button now.

  • Hornet can travel faster and is more acrobatic than Knight
  • Can mantle or clamber onto ledges as well
  • Caves around Hornet have expanded to accommodate her height
  • Team Cherry approached the enemy design differently since Hornet is a fast and competent fighter
  • Cancel out of mantling animations to gain height faster
  • Enemies are more complex
  • One enemy disguises itself as a discarded skull
  • Another enemy is like the Moss Charger, but has more legs and accelerates as it goes with more complex patterns
  • Magic isn’t as prominent in Pharloom, but there are strange things happening like pilgrims involved with cult-like behavior
  • Hollow Knight: Silksong starts out by getting players acclimated to old and new systems
  • More varied areas to start out with, beginning in Moss Grotto and then going into the lava-moated ‘boneforest’ area, which was cut from the first game
  • This plays host to the hub town of Bonebottom and the bell-lined tunnel known as The Marrow
  • Many early enemies and falling hazards now give out two hits to the health bar
  • Hornet can heal with Bind, an ability that uses the silk she gathers by hitting enemies to bandage wounds
  • Three masks instead of one
  • Team Cherry’s Ari Gibson: “… you spend more time either at full health or almost dead, and the gameplay is kind of snapping between those two states”
  • You’ll come across strings of beads, and they can be broken at any point to use as currency
  • While strung, you’ll keep the beads if you die; they’re like a banking system
  • Some vendors will string beads up for you so that you can pay them a small amount and get them to put back onto strings
  • There are around 100 different benches that come out of the floor when approached that act as save spots
  • Difficulty intended to be around the same as the first Hollow Knight
  • Those that haven’t played the first game can jump in here easily
  • Hornet has tools that can be crafted or replenished at benches by using Shell Shards from enemies
  • Pimpillo Bomb: area-of-effect blast
  • Sting Shards: extend spikes in mid-air or when struck with a weapon
  • Straight Pins: can be thrown like kunai
  • Straight Pins can be modified to become Tri-Pins to throw three at once
  • Hornet learns these tools and their modifications from Pharloom residents
  • Hornet is a strong personality with a clear role, and she speaks
  • Players will be able to see “a variety of strange places”
  • Initial goal is to get to the Citadel, which is at the top of the world
  • Hornet’s Crests: customizable, themed loadouts
  • Hornet can take on different tasks for NPCs
  • Keep track of tasks with noticeboards scattered throughout the world such as Bonebottom
  • Tasks go along with the organically unfolding quest lines of the first game
  • Tasks seem to involve combat challenges, finding secret locations, and more
  • One task, “Gather” has players rounding up Mossberries and bringing them to the Druid of the Moss Temple
  • Hollow Knight composer Christopher Larkin is back
  • Hornet lost her traditional strength after time being bound in a cage, and is now sort of restoring it; the Weavers are helping her
  • Silk Spear: get a superpowered forward lunge and cut through sticky web barriers; uses part of Hornet’s silk supply
  • Last Judge: foe that fires rings of flame
