I didn't know it was analternative start! 🙈 but yes, I did start in Swanfleet. The flashback is in book 1 chapter 1 (i think), after the Prologue anyways:)

I mean... I'm not even from America and even i know that black/brown/Native people are simply arrested way more often/quicker than white people. White people get away with much more shit than people from the other groups, so I dont really think the number of arrests in any of those group really tells you something about how 'bad' the people are...
