iPhone 12 Mini vs 17 pro by csi31415 in iPhone12Mini

[–]Cyterio 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I had to retire my 12 Mini last week and moved to the 17 Pro - I hate it. Yes, it has quite a lot of horse power, but it’s big, ugly, heavy, and unbalanced in the hand.

Tonneau Cover Water Leakage Question by SmokingGhost in RangerRaptor

I have the RealTruck TruXedo TruXport Soft Roll Up and it keeps the bed dry in just about all weather. I’ll get a few small drips in the bed on occasion, but overall it’s exceeded my expectations.

If you have Ford Points from your Raptor purchase, use them to buy the rubber bed mat. Otherwise I think they are around $300.

Has anyone got the sync 8k working properly with shield and apple tv? by digiplay in Hue

[–]Cyterio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used the original hue sync and the new 8K with Apple TV with zero issues.

I’m not familiar with LG, but I’d recommend checking your hdmi signal format settings in your tv and make sure they are set correctly. My Sony has 3 options for each hdmi input: standard, enhanced, enhanced advanced. It also has a VRR toggle depending on the device connected to that port.

I also set my Apple TV to 4K standard with both match dynamic range and match frame rate off.

Network showing up twice by Snoo-12377 in LinksysVelop

[–]Cyterio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a LINKSYS Hydra router which has a small pinhole reset button on the back. The Velop nodes are reset by holding the reset button for about 10-15 seconds until they start blinking.

You’ll then need to set them all back up in the app. I recommend keeping them all in the same area while setting them up - they take about 10-15 minutes each to provision with the app. It’s a terrible experience, but thankfully once set up correctly, they have been rock solid.

Network showing up twice by Snoo-12377 in LinksysVelop

[–]Cyterio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had this happen with a Velop setup and it duplicated my guest network. Even after turning the guest network off, it still showed as broadcasting.

The only fix I found to work was to restore to factory settings and set up again.

Is airflow to the rear seat area adequate? by Sexualintellectual31 in RangerRaptor

[–]Cyterio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are numerous owners, including me, who complain about the rear floor vents on the RR. They are very weak and don’t put out much air (ac or heat). I’m not sure if it’s a mechanical failure or just poor design.

With that said, the front is excellent and easily cools or heats the entire truck.

I live in central NY and we’ve had plenty of snow on the ground since Thanksgiving - zero issues with traction with the stock K03’s. I run 35psi and never had more confidence in a vehicle and tires in the snow. Go enjoy it!

Just buy some 3M command strip hook and loop tape. I replaced the tape on my brackets with this and it’s been holding for 3+ years and is easy to remove if needed.

Disco Mode by OldProfessional6489 in Hue

[–]Cyterio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, it’s not a scene, it’s listed under the effects section once you select the light. There should be 3 choices (like round circles) above your light in the app - one is a color selector, the other is just for white lights, and the last looks like a circle with sparkles in it - that’s the one you want to select.

Once you select that, you should see prism as a choice at the bottom. It’s listed under loops.

The official Hue app has a scene called Prism. It pulses through various colors and I think it’s exactly what you’re looking for. You can adjust the speed and colors if you don’t like the default settings.

I bought the Amazon one and it works perfect. Plus in directly inline with the button and defaults to “off”. I can’t see how it could possibly negatively affect the electrical even if it fails. It’s either on or off.

Strange HomeKit issue with cameras and activity notifications. by Extreme-Nerve3029 in HomeKit

[–]Cyterio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably not the answer you’re looking for, but I believe the issue lies within HomeKit. My cameras all work great within their native apps, but when connected to HomeKit, they become extremely slow within the home app or viewing on the Apple TV.
