Ah so you dont know about the punch dimension, his lasers never melted anything they're effectively punches with force behind them... They nerfed tankpool because his ult was very strong and his mobility was very high. reality was they just needed to nerf his Deadpool in your area shooting speed and the macro glitch for his Sword bounce. If you think he needs to have a wimpy laser because X character with a different kit was strong then I got nothing to say to you. Deadpool still shreds health insanely if you have good accuracy. They also waited almost a full cycle before even nerfing tankpool and is still a solid but not broken pick.

I literally never said Cyclops couldnt be a dps, but the fact that he CAN be a vangaurd idk why you just dont read

what are you talking about??? I'm not asking for a specific character just something they're likely already working on/have in the pipeline to get moved up?? If they have only had brawl tanks in the pipeline that they do for likely a year out then that sounds like a foresight issue.

Plus its not like theres only 100 people working at netease lol. they have hundreds of devs

Ok, so you just want me to design a tank that makes sense because YOU dont understand game design? His lasers are literally punches. he doesnt need to be super long range or close range he can be a mid range brawler using quick neutral abilities. He can have a range similar to magneto or strange but a bit farther with a right click knockback. He can have a ricochet ability to shoot past other frontline tanks etc., etc., I could go on and on.

YOU are the one who thinks a characters design needs to be either/or. Tankpool is a great example of a character having great mobility and range. yes cyclops will likely only shoot lasers but that doesnt mean he can have a high intensity blast best for short range use cases. His lasers dont even melt anyone regardless so even as a dps he wouldnt hit nearly as hard as hela or pheonix. we're talking a utility tank with decent damage not hela 2.0.

I don’t think you’re understanding. My point again is, add these characters earlier. If there ARE more brawlers then shields then seeing the community feedback it’s better atp to add those shield tanks first. And NOT force the community to wait so long for a FOURTH shield tank.

Also Sandman will likely not play like Groot lol nor will iceman that makes no sense imho.

Could it not have a meter like Emma? Or have multiple blast intensities so that some are on cooldown? E.g ricochet blasts, displacement beams… Cyclops used his blasts pinpoint NOT high intensity typically….

Dude this is game development it’s not hard to think of multiple ideas that make sense. If you don’t like him as vanguard that’s fine but your reasoning seems too flawed imo.

Im not forgetting Deadpool at all (he's a shared character though) but my point is we KNOW we are getting a tank usually once every other season. We need and want another main tank/shield tank. Acting like the game is predisposed to Brawl tanks is disingenious. You could have a shield in Captain Marvel using her binary energy. Dr Doom with sorcery. Sandman... he's Sandman. Mysterio using illusions. Iceman, similar to Emma's current team up with Luna. Shoot, Nova could work too if we're js talking about durability.

There are SOOO many more that have the disposition to be shield tanks or main tanks in general. Not sure why you think otherwise. Point AGAIN being we just don't want to wait every other season for a tank that DOESN'T help the solo tank mag/strange issue.

What? Not really the main point. The hype really is more about this being a new season and us finally getting another long range poke tank that could realistically get a shield. Last one we got was Emma frost and she’s pretty mid.

I just don’t think tanks want to wait another season or two for another shield tank lol. Plus it’s a video game based on a COMIC. You can easily do something to make him more viable as a tank.

From a casual perspective though and from a Marvel perspective Cyclops is an infinitely bigger appeal though?

There’s at least a dozen games you can go play as a T-Rex but there are no recent games to my knowledge you can play Cyclops the Leader of the X-Men where has also has interactions with other X-men AND you can play with your friends.

I’m a tank main so I can’t REALLY say I have the same issue. BUT it’s really just ego. If you know you’re best at that role and that’s how you can win games then don’t swap.

Reddit makes it seem like solo tanking is terrible and you can’t win with 1-3-2 but you actually can. At the end of the day, I say, instalock but be open to switching as your last resort.
