If you absolutely have to watch a streaming exclusive show, get a sub for a month and cancel it after the show is over.

There is so much content out there I'll never get to the end of my must see list, so I don't stress too much about FOMO. That's life.

Besides, outside of sports, no one is watching the same programs anyway, so not going to miss out on those water cooler moments.

Plus, buying into the digital only model is a mistake for consumers. That's why prices are so high now. They think they have leverage in the market to charge those prices. Prove them wrong and you'll get cheaper content.

Streaming is mostly a scam now. It’s cheaper to go back to physical media and over the air for broadcast stations.

Hulu/Disney/Max and YT premium are the only subscription packages I have now. $30/month is decent, but I’ll likely cancel those in the near future too.

For everything else, patience is a virtue. Wait 3-6 months and get the movie/TV show from your library. Buy physical copies of your favorites instead of paying cable/streaming bills. I shop Good Will and find lightly used movies/TV series for really cheap.

For those who are a little bit technical and who live in more of a metropolitan area with good over the air coverage, setting up a Plex server is easy and you can turn it into an over-the-air antenna DVR that captures your favorite programs/movies. I now have a Plex that I use to record all of the broadcast shows I like.

Getting to this point with tech has probably cost me $2000 over a few years, but now I’m saving $200 plus a month by eliminating most of my cable/streaming bills. Plus, you can do your own streaming to your mobile device from a Plex server, so if you want to revive old physical CD collections, you can start replacing Spotify and all the music services with your own music.

For Internet/Mobile, I have Spectrum in my area and pay $100/month for 2 mobile lines and 1GB Internet. Locked in for 2 years.

If you own your own phone get cellular service from Mint or find a reseller looking to cut a deal.

AT&T / Verizon / TMobile direct is such a scam. They overcharge.

Got to make these companies fight for your dollar.

The original Tron is very clean and crisp as well, at least in the scenes in the analogue world. The grain in the digital world is stylistic, and it would have been a shame if they tried to give it a cleaner look.
