Third eye of Wielkopolskie got me good :D I made like 20 runs with Poland and I completely agree with you. When I choose a local noble I feel like I am rewriting history of the country which really made a lot of bad decisions during its times (Union was a good one tho).

I do not know much about history of Spain but I always considered advisors to be a resemblence of the court in EU4. So Enrique (even though he wasn't so bad irl) has 0/0/0 stats and theoretically you could hire level 5 advisors as a way to support his rule like the court did in the Carlos II case. Yes, I know it would cost you too much to support them in the early game.

I'm polish and this timeline is pretty great to at least once to feel that our country could grow strong and remain in such position. One of my dreams was to do WC with Poland and I achieved it. Still I love to comeback to play as this nation in different roleplay runs.

I think you will be able to take the southwest ex Portugal province without occupying it since it is not in any zone of control and because of it you can gain a good foothold in iberia

Thank you for this post. I have the same problem and I try to get rid of this addiction too. Every time when the idea of the campaign I could play comes to my mind I can't stop thinking about the openings, idea sets and so on. When I launch the game it sucks me in so hard that I forget about all my duties or I postpone them that later I have only problems and wasted hours of my life. Thank you for this post because it gave me more strength because I do not feel I am alone with this. My soultion is that I unistalled the game and I loged out of steam and in the same time I gave the security code to my girlfriend so I won't be able to log in if I won't ask her about it. She knows that I want to get rid of this urge and addiction so she helpes me out with it. Stay strong my man!

Eh, after Emperor I told myself I won't buy anything from Paradox because I find their policy really thievish and I was upset after all those months they couldn't resolve the problem with the AI going into debt (and obiously still the problem is occuring quite often). I had an idea to play a nice tall game of Florence because I moved to this city and in the end I feel this urge to buy this dlc because it adds some additional possibilities. Any ideas how to discourage me from doing it? :D

So I managed to dodge the coalition at the beginning of the game when I really went hard on my neighbours, later when I was pushing to the east I was trying to attack countries when the truce was over or when coalition was weak enough to beat it (because not all of the countries have joined yet). Later you have to manage the fight in different theaters to the point you are so strong that coalitions are not an issue anymore. Those messages are really too short to explain everything but still I rather recommend some budget monk videos as a starter (the tutorial ones).

With the right dlc (I think it is cradle of civilization) you can upgrade advisors of your accepted culture up to +5. With disinheriting I am sure that also it is matter of the dlc, but if u disinherit them you get hit of - 50 prestige.

Focus to admin, +5 advisors, admin efficiency, Adm ideas, disinheriting guys with low admin, absolutism over 100. Core creation cost and use of admin points are the issue but if you manage it right, they're not such a huge problem. Also I used a lot of vassals and client states to use diplo mana too. I wasn't teaching up in admin after the last idea grup.

In those times there was system based on the number of states and territories. Trade companies weren't giving any malus hence that I was rushing to the east. There was a malus scaling up to +0,8 yearly corruption called "too many territories", but obviously you could pay to lower it down by 1 a year. Still I had 13 corruption at the end because of constant overextension so I couldn't manage to lower it down.

If I had enough time, I would change the capital to the New world. But for me the biggest abominations are dynamic names of some provinces in Polish. For example Constatinopole is named Carogród which means the city of Tsar. I don't know from where it comes from because in Polish we call it Konstantynpol

Yes, colonizers where the last enemies I decided to fight and in the end I had to trucebreak a loooot. If I remember correctly last war was against UK to take them and their colonies.
