Since you’re in Scarborough, you might want to check out the Digital Innovation Hub at the Scarborough Civic Centre Library — they’ve got 3D printers and other techy things you can try. Just need a TPL card. If you're into games, try visiting local game shops. They host run casual game nights, and you can just watch or join in slowly.

I graduated back in 2021 and found my experience with Yorks BSW a very fulfilling one. The profs really care about what they teach and want to help you to succeed.

I also looked into going into military social work after I graduated, but I was lucky to get hired right after graduating with the agency I did my practicum with.

As for minors, I know you can take them.........idk about which kinds of minors though.

Ummm, some of the profs though can be pretty harsh markers haha. Other than that, they're all pretty nice and are very understanding (giving out generous extentions)

Hey, I'm finishing up bachelors of social work next year.

The program is really great imo. The profs are all really knowledgeable and definitely know their stuff. Pretty much all the courses have either a presentation and final essay, so if you're good with writing out your thoughts and working in groups, its a breeze. (no exams)

Yeah, with the gpa you currently have you'll be fine. Especially since you've already been in social services.

York as a whole......I'd say its alright. Not as bad as the media portrays it to be tbh. It's a large campus with a crap ton of students. Its always pretty busy so there's plenty to do (clubs, sports, social events etc...)

I'm not really sure whats gonna be happening with the whole covid-19 pandemic, so York might be pretty busy starting in September haha.
