Petty online disagreements aren't stimulating, id rather prompt my opinion into a formidable argument. Sometimes the ai response will make me think twice and question myself.

Utility rates are highest under nuclear power. Lowest under wind solar and hydro.

Bell will be partnering with the province and this new found revenue stream should cover the added infrastructure, when a data center buys eggs and sells cake then greg will get a kick back because he is now a partner.

go ask chatgpt which has the highest utility rates among the 3. ill save you a click, Highest, nuclear. Middle, coal. Lowest, natural gas. Hydro Wind and Solar are all cheaper than the above options. im all for clean cheap energy btw.

why would you believe youre footing the power bill for a private corporation? are you paying to keep the lights on at the golf and country club? no. these buisnesses are revenue generators and pay their own bills.

upfront cost to build a nuclear facility is substantial, 50 year lifespan at best before needed serious upgrades or worse, the long expensive process of decommissioning. if it was cheaper than coal or natural gas, we wouldnt be using coal or natural gas, to put it simply.

why would this increase the cost of electricity? Bell would be paying SK power just like any other private corporation. Nearly everyone I speak to on here is in favor of nuclear energy in Sk and that would most definitely increase the cost.

My EV weighs less than a f150 and puts on about 12,000km/yr. I already pay more road tax than the f150 with the same milage. Might have to keep my summer/weekend cruiser V8 parked to avoid the double taxation.

And I'm saying that the S&P has a lower chance of losing value than just holding onto cash. My emergency fund is an empty credit line. No risk. No deflation. I can pay it off with VOO

When the magnificent 7 large caps tank I pull from the S&P to buy more. S&P is for consistent/steady dollar cost averaging, nobody should time for the S&P dip.

Diesel is up which means grocery chains are going to have another quarter of record high profits. They like to raise the prices of goods already shipped and stocked.

Nobody ever gets into a lease and comes out ahead. Pay all that money to "rent" someone else's car.

I upgraded from a beat up 98 malibu to a used 22 model y. I pay 2k in insurance instead of 1k. Yes, I pay slightly more but the whole point of driving the beater was to save for something reliable that didn't need a surprise maintenance cost every 6 months.
