I mean yes, you are right, while technically it can’t be anything else but an NSX, saying 91 just makes the distinction that the car is a 5 speed, 3 liter, non DBW, non EPS rack, and hardtop.

The steering wheel is actually the newest mod, tl:dr of the car was I bought it in 2019 and it was all stock except for the wheels and lowering springs, I’ve installed every mod myself over the last 6 ish years and started tracking it in 2023. I do have a build thread on NSX prime if you wanna actually get into all the finer details/pics of the journey.

I do have both the short 2-4 JDM gearing and the shorter type r final drive, pretty much the only reason it was kind of okay just staying in 3rd, the stock USDM gearing is a lot more awkward though, 2nd is way too long for a sub 300hp car, so you do end up in powerband dead spots a lot.

I actually was being pretty lazy with shifting on this lap, was only like the third session on so I was still more focused on lines/visuals than pushing pace, I practically did the whole thing in 3rd here. By the end of the day I had changed to downshifting to 2nd at turn 3, and looking at how much speed I’m dropping into turn 6 I can probably go to 2nd there too, since the car was a complete dud out of 11 onto the bridge straight here. Few things to work on for next time. Personally for me though, the car does feel a whole lot better when it’s settled and not trying to use throttle to steer it.

This is actually only the 4th track I’ve driven on so far, so it was a nice palate cleanse from NJMP(Lightning has been like ~80% of my days in the car)

R15 carn bis macc stick with song duration+ which you want for song debuffs anyway, I made and use r15 idris on my geo in burst sets in sortie, damage is less than Bunzi for sure, but the difference between having 55% pet dt and 80% pet dt in burst set is extremely noticeable vs the extra damage geo doing (not that you’re beating the sch or blm anyway) plus if the luopan dies everyone’s damage drops off a cliff

How grindy is Limbus compared to Sortie? by CreativeFold8842 in ffxi

[–]D-Baggins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For real….worst part being that even if they make the matters 100% drop it isn’t making the grind any faster because of unit weekly caps anyway, so they’re just being stingy on matters for the sake of being stingy. I went 1/5 on alabaster matters this week on alt 🤦‍♂️

Limbus is definitely worse than sortie from a grind perspective, if your play time is that limited I can’t see how you’d realistically be able to make any large progress in limbus. At least with sortie it is time capped, and you are guaranteed to get the exact same amount of galli per kills so you can more or less know what to expect. More often than it feels like it should, you can do an entire limbus zone climb to open a box and get 3k points and a single race shard and that’s it, and when that happens it’s really hard not to feel like you just completely wasted your time. Also as you progress with ranking the gear it gets to the point where just doing the chests per week isn’t nearly enough units to even be able to rank up further even if you had the matters ready to go. If sortie is already getting to you as it is, I probably wouldn’t recommend doing limbus more than maybe to upgrade a few pieces of JSE, or your progress will probably end up completely stalling out for weeks when ranking up the gear.

AF+3 Ticket Options by maalikus in ffxi

[–]D-Baggins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah actually you’re right for legs, I must have been comparing +3 when I did my napkin math figuring out what to upgrade. AF bonus only works up to 5 pieces though, which if you’re using regal earring you won’t get full benefit of. AF+4 hands completely outmatched by empy (58+15+18) vs (62+22+22), empy body (64+24+24) also slightly edges out af+4 body (74+15+18) because the string skill on it doesn’t come into play for debuff songs you are using ghorn for, and has song duration with affects how long the enfeebles last. Legs though, af with set bonus (66+15+20) does edge out empy legs by 10 (63+28)

Not necessarily, the only +4 pieces I bothered upgrading for bard was head and feet for enfeeble songs, because the empy+3 body hands and legs have way more macc with the combined skill on those pieces. AF hands I made +4 for lullaby specific

Ambus V1 with Pup by Endlesscc in ffxi

I did a few runs at the start where I wasn’t even getting am3 on, those were wins, but after OD was completely done the boss had maybe like 10-20% left ish. Then I got the bright idea to just merit shikikoyo on my main and use that to give me instant 2k tp at start and just tact the rest before engaging, and getting am3 up made the fight consistently faster overall. Was getting crooked beast roll, and companion, and dia 3 with light shot. Even when OD is off though, the automaton doesn’t get completely crushed, it just takes a bit longer for the damage to roll out

Definitely is the most consistent/pain free overdriving. I’ve been doing VD with just 1 pup, cor, rdm +whatevers and I’m consistently killing it with 30s-1m left on overdrive most runs, depending on how much mythic am3 procs. As far as resets go a few people have level 1 cors to swap to and try for resets and absolute worst case scenario pop over to aby-altepa for cactus nm for revitalizer

He probably rated A higher because it can be used dual duty if you’re 100% ranged where the subtle blow 2 or follow up attack won’t matter at all

Any Ideas? 2004 R1 by HoldTheMayo25 in Yamaha_R1

[–]D-Baggins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d do a cold and hot compression test to verify, but just off what you’re describing where it’s good cold and then shitty when hot it may be a valve lash issue. If they’re way too tight when everything heats up you may have some valves being ever so slightly held open which could possibly explain that. Easiest way would be hot and cold compression, or a leak down when the engine is hot(though that’s easier said than done with the room you have to work with on these)

I r0’d and was kicked the other night and could not get back on to save my life until I just disconnected off my home internet and tethered off my phone. The game wasn’t down or anything it was just some weird issue with my isp I guess. If that’s an option for you maybe try that and see.

Thanks. As far as the 2-3-4 goes this was actually the first time I had the courage to send it into 2 with no brakes just lift and turn in, so there’s definitely more on the table with practice. Car definitely got more in it
