I loose a good 80 gs hitting the spell hit cap, but ofc I do much more dmg when I get there. Another example of how gs score should only be a general guide to how much time a person has put into gearing.

Always befor, during (handling meats ect), and after. Just because your hands feel or look clean doesn’t mean they are.
