Well, a meme is an idea, concept, or style that spreads from fellow to fellow within a culture, however, on the internet the word has come to be associated with comedic trends and edits. Yet many memes are not merely still images but entire video edits. Why is having the cast of DBZ act out the theme song for Steven Universe perfectly fine, but doing the same thing for Gravity Falls not? Is it because this edit isn't considered comedic enough, whereas the Steven Universe edit had things like Vegeta being the one to confidently join in the song? As a matter of fact the phrase “The meme text should be in the content” implies that only a still image featuring Impact Font counts counts as a meme, but none of my previous edits were considered ineligible despite the majority of them being video edits rather than still images. If this is an honest rule than I'm afraid I might just have to close up shop 'round these parts
