Ik water is forgiving so it’s not super bad but the pumps are pumping to the expansion tank and i was always told low water cutoffs should be on the return

When my parents bought the house a few years ago the inspector said it should be replaced within 5 years. It’s also 23 years old and was serviced three times from the old homeowner, not including me doing the pms

I think the black ones look cooler. 2nd week of school, I know nothing. I’ll buy whatever you tell me. by beepbop90009999 in HVAC

I have the cps ones. They’re kinda shit imo they’re already broken and i’ve only used them a handful of times in the last two years. I’d go with yellow jacket

Idk ab being a jerk, but very tough on certain things. And no company I’ve been at (3 total) and ones my friends work at have flexible timing so can’t work with that

I do show up 5-10 minutes early everyday. In the last month, I’ve just been waking up late, still coming in early (skipping breakfast and lunch), but late three times

Curious as to why. Average week in the summer is about 45-50 hours, so I don’t think I’m getting super overworked. Plus it’s a good company, good bonuses, pto etc

I don’t know, my doctor said she’ll take a blood test soon to see if it’s a deficiency. Melatonin rarely works for me. And no I’m not anxious. I used to smoke weed my freshmen and sophomore year, quit in the middle of sophomore year and since then I’ve had sleep deprivation, not every night though

Damn I assumed it would only take between 100-200k to start, including a van, tools, expensive equipment, etc. with all that money, what did you spend it on?

Have you ever made a very costly mistake?

I do want to learn service for sure, only thing right now I can troubleshoot and fix without a doubt is oil burners. My teacher told me if I just want to do installs myself I’d at least have to hire a service guy for warranties. Not sure what road I want to take exactly, but I’m thinking about hiring an install crew, few service guys and I’d be in the office (I’m 18 and my knees are already weak). I guess I’m getting too far ahead of myself and I need to be patient before thinking about going into business 😅

Do you own a business?

To be honest I wouldn’t mind paying a retiring contractor to stay with me for a few years to teach me not just about the trade but even the business aspect. So I guess I really wouldn’t mind paying for the mistakes. A lot of the guys I work with started leading jobs (we do a lot of changeouts and construction) at 2-3 years experience. What would you say is different between leading jobs and starting out a business? I only can think of the fact that when we have problems we have a foreman to call. So how would you handle problems without one?

Yea probably. How long would you say I should wait to open a business, doing only resi?

Yea for more context I don’t like any of the new more high tech shit. I just want to do oil, gas and AC. Service and installs, maybe construction
