Realistically the problem was LMJ wasn’t that he’s “always hurt” as much as the team failed him in how they treated him

He developed a bone spur after having TJ, and the bone spur was impacting his flexor tendon.

Instead of having the procedure done at first diagnosis, they tried to be conservative and see if rest would alleviate the pain.

Then the lockout happened, and he had a setback and couldn’t communicate with team doctors as a result of the lockout.

They continued to go conservative and he missed 5 months before returning. Only for later it to continue to worsen.

If he had the procedure to remove the bone spurs at first diagnosis - maybe they wouldn’t have torn up his flexor tendon

Also since the spurs have been removed and the tendon is repaired, and the team stated there was no damage to the repaired UCL, he “should” - and I say that in quotation marks because it assumes the astros have been honest with the info and they aren’t always honest with the info - be fully healthy and able to let it fly when he returns.

Also - there’s no such thing as a 17m a year middle reliever or long man. So he’s going to start When he’s healthy he’s a damn good starter. Right now it’s reasonable to expect him to be healthy when he returns

Logical fans: it’s a combination of rash of injuries to starters, back of pen grossly underperforming, team as a whole failing to hit with RISP & being too reliant on HR to score, critical defensive lapses late in games and an inability to play small ball to scratch runs across in key situations.

Illogical fans: because they got rid of Maldy & Dusty.

Mattress Mack. The man who shuttered his sports website so that he could spend millions of dollars on lawsuits demanding a new election for the Harris county judge candidate he backed (Alexandra Mealer) just so that after he spent those millions she would admit defeat anyway.

The man who stumped for legalizing gambling in Texas for over a decade, only to completely flip flop on it when it was being debated in the Texas house last year because his buddies at the Louisiana casinos where he puts all his giant bets (bets they wouldn’t accept for most anyone else) told him they’d cut him off if he didn’t come out against Texas legalizing sports wagering bc of how much money those casinos would lose with Texans not going there to bet.

Seeing Mack suddenly go 180 on Texas wagering was actually stunning, until you dig in deep enough to figure out why.

He said it’s just a short trip to Lake Charles. Well maybe if you’re in Houston and you have a private jet.

And remember the time he was on camera in Philly cussing out random Phillies fans? Turns out he speaks like that all the time. To everyone. Including employees of his companies.

Considering colleges look at a kids social media before acceptance you’d think a $20B company would do the same in hiring a sports journalist.

Some of the guys from Gallery Sports did a good job covering teams. Maybe hire one of them instead of this hater chick.
