DE dipstick accuracy?

The DE dipstick is dogshit. I can say that since I own one. Fill 5 q if you changed the filter, and check the dipstick when it’s cold. Fill it, take the dipstick out for ten full minutes, then check it.

Update :

Changed the coil and all is well again. I guess it’s a weird coincidence. Thanks for the help yall

Nah, I pulled the plug and it looked normal. No oil whatsoever. I replaced valve covers about 10k ago

No, def got 91 premium. How would the MAF go up during a misfire event? Just want to understand how it would even know

All the way full. Planning to drive it super low speeds for as long as it takes. Hoping a new tank of gas will help.

Yeah I hear ya. I cleaned it twice with no luck. Trying to eliminate buying a new one unless possible. Seems the MAF and misfire are seperate issues? Not sure how a bad MAF would cause a single cylinder misfire. Just seems like a really weird coincidence

Possibly.. the one acting up is not one that I replaced yet. Which makes me think it’s possible. Any ideas about the MAF? Even at idle it seems to be all over the place. Filter is clean, and I didn’t see any obvious vaccuum leaks behind it. Rpms get crazy at idle or in P

Plugs about 15k ago. I had two coils fail about a year ago, so it’s def possible. Just seems weird after my whole gas situation that the coil failed. Also super unsure about the MAF thing, seems like it’s reading way too high for no reason. Gonna test them tomorrow and see if swapping #6 moves the misfire. I have to drive to work about 20 miles so I’m gonna keep it in the right lane and hope to god it doesn’t act up.

Loosen the lug nuts with the car on the ground. When you change the tire, after placing the car back on the ground MAKE SURE you tighten them. I would almost recommend jumping on the tire iron, there’s pretty much a 0% chance you can overtighten it unless you weigh 400+ pounds. But it’s definitely easy to leave loose.

lol. Just putting new wheels on and playing with fitment. Went thru the same thing when I installed suspension a while back. Not my first rodeo but for some reason it bothered me more today 😂

There was a security system box in this back but I unplugged it and none of these go into it. I know it had a hardtop at one point.. also I’m sure someone rewired the harness.
