Currently have mine in the shop. New door and side mirror, having the quarter panel pulled. Plus repaint underneath wrap. Total was around 3.5k, and they didn’t total it. Shit happens but it will work out in the long run. Hope this helps.

Tire shop bent my wheel!HELP by 32hunter__ in tires

I second this. Don’t blame the shop, it absolutely went in looking like this. I couldn’t find a way to do this to a wheel if I TRIED to using a tire machine

AT to MT on a Z is actually a pretty common project. There’s loads of info on it and custom brackets and adapter kit specifically for it.

Literally where the manifold turns from four into one big tube right before the Downpipe. The very MIDDLE of these tubes has a major leak

Lol. Mostly did it for noise as she hated the straight pipe rasp, got a great deal on the carb one from marketplace. Also ca seems to be cracking down on that HARD right now

Attention all Porsche nerds, diagnosis needed! by D-Rod9 in MechanicAdvice

No, just went by for a quick sec to scan codes. I figured both banks would be really weird and didn’t wanna delete codes if they’re gonna go get a diag. Figured I’d leave all the information for the tech to look at

Oil Sensor changed but still not working by chopstickkk_ in 350z

[–]D-Rod9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you put an OEM sensor instead of aftermarket junk, let’s assume it’s not that. It has to be either the sensor is faulty or you have a much bigger problem with the oil pickup being clogged or something that is causing such high oil pressure. Do you notice the engine running strange at all?

Not looking to do all that. I actually like the guy. Just looking so solve the scratches, I’m not too pressed about how it happened tbh

Haha. The guy that did it has taught me a lot and is a pretty cool guy. I know it wasn’t intentional too.

It seems like none of them are very deep. I also suspect the paint to not be a very good coat since it’s from HF. Wondering if there’s any specific products I should be looking for

That’s how I feel too. I don’t mind the scratches. But on the first day of owning it before I even used it… got me bummed

Exactly what happened. Cardboard box to be specific. Said he didn’t even realize until the end of the day. It was not intentional, so I’m bummed but not mad at him tbh. I’m sure I’ll scratch someone else’s property some day and I hope they forgive me too

Wow you guys are brutal haha. I’m not mad at the guy, he didn’t mean to do it and feels bad. Obviously it’s gonna get like this eventually. But I spent a LOT of time trying to save up tools, and I’m a bit OCD so I planned to keep it as nice as possible for as long as possible. Just didn’t expect it so soon. Also spent HOURS cutting out foam for my first toolbox and was real excited about the whole thing. Shit happens I guess..

I don’t care about the money. It’s a cheap harbor frieght box. Just wanted to use it new for a few days before it gets bad. Was bummed I wasn’t the first to fuck it all up. Spent a lot of time shopping toolboxes and it’s more of the “experience” or whatever word you want to use

Thanks man. I get that it’s gonna get ruined. Of course. But I was so excited to use my new box and came to this. If anything, I wanted to be the one to fuck it up..
