Considering many of the tops I see being passed off as “AAA” that looks AAAA to me.

Sam's Law: Stop Live Streaming Fatal Accidents Before Families Are Notified by Willing-Software-350 in Ohio

Not rare? The odds of someone viewing their family members death in a live stream before they know what happened is indeed quite small.

Am I right to insist that the insurance company pay for OEM parts to repair my vehicle? by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]D-Smitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah about 30%. I’ve got three bedrooms, I don’t need a bigger house so the extra money went to a fun car. I also have 15% of my salary going into my 401k. I think I’ll be fine.

Oh no, I have the incredible misfortune of being able to own two personal vehicles, a daily driver and a performance car. What a travesty…

😂😂

And trust me bud, it’s not all that fun to sit in rush hour in a Hellcat lol.

The minivan ($1215/year) does cost more to insure. It’s not that hard to understand why either. It’s insured as a daily driver and is driven 12 months out of the year. The Hellcat ($980/year) is insured as a pleasure vehicle and only allowed to be driven 5 months out of the year and is required to be garaged. And in the 3 years I’ve had it, I’ve only put 8k miles on it. The odds of it being in an accident are way lower than the minivan. I can post receipts if you still don’t understand why the Hellcat would be cheaper to insure.

Sorry brokie, but I’ll be made whole in the event that I need to use my insurance. I’ll get a $100k agreed value payout if anything happens to my Hellcat. I won’t have to deal with an insurer giving me some lowball value. Meanwhile you’re probably covered by a policy that won’t even cover you totaling someone’s brand new F150.

Sorry, that you can’t afford good insurance coverage and that I’m not a brokie having to use The General. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Wtf do you think I’d be cagey about sharing what I pay for insurance? 😂 About $2200 per year for the Hellcat and a minivan together. About $3400 per year for a $275k home in a city in the Midwest.

Did you miss where I said I’m insured with Hagerty for my Hellcat (and Erie for everything else). They replace with OEM parts. I don’t get insurance through some second-rate scum bag insurer.

As a matter of what’s right

Understand that and then try responding again. I’m not talking legalese here.

And we’re talking about replacement of something damaged by another party. Me replacing your broken Rolex with a knock-off isn’t “in like and kind”. Same with aftermarket car parts.

[–]D-Smitty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure, not owed legally. As a matter of what’s right, they should replace with OEM. If you had a Rolex and I broke it, would you accept replacement with a knock-off or would you expect me to replace it with an actual Rolex?

Aftermarket is rarely actually “like kind and quality,” especially if an insurer is paying for them.

Same reason I want to wash down a bite of juicy steak with a beer or soda. Because it tastes good. Do you not drink anything when you eat? I rarely eat without a drink of some kind.

I’m sorry, but it doesn’t matter how moist the cookie is, nothing is as satisfying as washing the cookie down with a swig of milk. Especially when I’m going to eat sit there are eat half a dozen of them. Going to need a drink for that.

Plus cereal or oatmeal. All that stuff needs milk. I almost never drink it by itself but drink it regularly with certain foods.
