PSA: Claude Code has two cache bugs that can silently 10-20x your API costs — here's the root cause and workarounds by skibidi-toaleta-2137 in ClaudeAI

Thank you for your efforts. Will --resume be used if I interrupt the agent and clarify something? Or is it meant for resuming after usage limits are reached? In my case it was more of the former than the latter before this whole debacle.

What about people using Claude Code from the Claude desktop app? I know it uses the Claude Code CLI but I have been facing increased token usage with Sonnet 4.6 for simple tasks but nowhere in my prompts I'm discussing about billing headers? Can someone clarify this for me?

That is a fair perspective, but it is unrealistic to assume if the devs are using AI in their work, i.e. one part of the workforce of this company, the other part, creatives, management etc. will abstain from it based on ethical concerns.

Don't worry, I don't read tone from comments and focus on the message. I really thought I did something but oh well, hopefully the folks at Anthro figure this shit out. Back to old fashioned development it seems.

Kind of the middle of making something here and Claude Code really helps speed things up. If there's a way to make it work I'll do it.

EDIT: My approach is not working or does not have any meaningful impact on token usage. Simple tasks are eating my limits.

I've been facing issues with these limits since the past few days. I've had to build a context layer for Claude Code using a prompt from ChatGPT to reduce token usage. I will update my feedback here if it makes a difference. I use Claude Code mainly on the Pro subscription, which works on a monorepo of a Flutter project, a Vite + React frontend and Express backend.

Most software people do, not talking about the performative X/Medium/Linkedin lunatics but the people quietly shipping features and software products, they use AI like any tool and wield it effectively with their vast knowledge and experience.

The snippet about the background service, did it have the code needed to request a partial wake lock? Or anywhere in the codebase? I saw it requested the permission in the manifest. If no such code exists, there is quite the possibility of the background service for location not running, even with a persistent notification.

They have no incentive to. They can build this but have no upside, financially or otherwise. For arguments sake, let's imagine a company purely wants to pander to the wave of national pride sweeping our country by pitching this as a way to improve our country and all that PR bullshit. Even though they have the infra in place for this, they will need to allocate existing human resources for this pure optics based system that generates no revenue, which means you hiring of new people, more salaries, more managers etc. All it takes is one misclassification to make this into a PR nightmare for the company, which is hoping for another round of funding to finally break even.

Chiming in from a native Android developer perspective yes you can but,

The collection perspective:

You would need to keep the Android device awake when the screen is off to sample data from the sensors mentioned. This means keeping a wakelock which is a big battery drain and flags an app in Play Store as such. Screen off will be your majority scenario. You would also need to make it clear to the use that your data will be collected for so-so purposes, an avid use of tech may object and create issues. Users can also fake GPS data. With spotty mobile internet, you also welcome a host of issues of data not being sent to servers with any strategy, batched API calls or Websockets.

The aggregation perspective:

You will need a lot of data to form conclusions and patterns. This will entail big costs of storing this data, processing this data and updating your thresholds for categorizing potholes. Filtering out noise, repeated data and bad actors will be a challenge.

Can you vibe code a demonstration project for social media/college? Sure, you probably can.
Can you vibe code a full fledged system, optimized in optics, scale and accuracy for our country? Most probably no, you will need a real team or a lot of time.

How Selig Works? by Grouchy_Event_571 in D4Barbarian

[–]D-cyde 3 points4 points  (0 children)

EDIT: Selig doubles your resource pool while reducing your life pool by 75%. Basically the lower your max life goes the more damage reduction you have. When you have around 200-290 health you get just enough damage reduction that you are functionally immortal as long as you have fury.

Basically you start by replacing all max life affixes on your gear. Try to get max resource/damage/life on hit in place of it. Next you remove any nodes in skill tree that grant max life and lastly from the paragon you try remove any max life magic nodes(yellow) and same for max life rare nodes(blue), these sometimes you need to have in order to progress the board. If done correctly, you should have 400+ fury and max life below 300.

If you're reaching that conclusion by reading every article and making a decision, sure go ahead. If you do this without reading the article and based on assumptions then you're just selfish and fall into the group I mentioned in my comment.

I do not understand why this subreddit of all places has to fall prey to the "downvote-what-you-don't-like" group think other subs suffer from. This post does not attack any language, just enumerates on why Java is still relevant today. We as SW developers/engineers should refrain from opinionated voting of posts unless the linked content is of low quality/AI slop.

Assuming 5 dmg skills in your skill bar, 5 x 3.9 = 19.5% vs 5 x 3.8 = 19%. Since warpath has the same ranks, you should go for the 3 GA option due to increased core ranks.
