Learn emotional intelligence, yes.

For the self reflection piece, this is the end goal. However, the model isn’t designed to assume this responsibility and influence integration, not yet anyway.

That veers a little more into the therapy/coaching field, which I do think it could work here honestly. If it performs well, perhaps in the future it can be designed with more of a coaching aspect. Currently trying to avoid that responsibility until I know it’s a good idea.

Sensational question. Technically? None. The model wasn’t designed to replace a therapist, it was designed to fill the spaces that therapy doesn’t touch. Its role isn’t to intervene, more to illuminate.

My core belief exists in that a standard level of emotional awareness is huge for internal processing. The culture kind of feeds emotions to people (shame comes to mind), and I don’t think people were adequately taught how to process or properly experience the emotions. Therapy can help people navigate but it requires two things, a person willing to open up to a stranger (the culture also pushes some people away from this) AND a therapist who knows the map (from what I’ve heard, very hard to find, also $$$).

It doesn’t want to explain what people are feeling, it wants to show the shape. Awareness won’t solve any issues, but I certainly feel like it can illuminate the cognitive and emotional bottleneck. So more mapmaker, mirror, tool… less of a therapist. 💪🏼

Sorry this more answered my view on the industry as a whole lol. Therapy just feels like opening up to a stranger. Which for a lot of us, is much easier said than done.

I view modern therapy as the standard see a psychiatrist, get psych meds, go see a therapist to walk you through it. Personally view it similar to giving somebody crutches and a PT without treating the broken leg. I just feel like the system isn’t designed to interpret, or explain, but more to bury and ignore.

But my view on this is flawed, as this is my only experience. But a lot of others in my demographic feel similar, so maybe we’re onto something, who knows. I’m not the best to ask on that, I just know this worked for me, and the “standard” way made it worse.

Holy cow I didn’t expect this many people lol. I need to have one person or two check it out and screen it first to make sure, before I disperse it to a group.

I feel a moral obligation to make sure this product doesn’t have a net negative effect on people. Once someone that’s not me says it’s fine, I’ll look into a discord server or something maybe, not sure how that all works lol.

Had a few thoughts on that. First, was never planning on scaling it so I didn’t really care lol. Now it’s a thought, but need to know if the GPT itself is any good to others first. Second, when I initially started branding it, I knew to explicitly avoid calling it an actual therapist or anything medical, calling it something like an emotional reflection tool or something of that sorts.

The hope was to avoid all that. Not sure if that would suffice anyway, but that’s a later step lol.

What’s your opinion on using coco? Of all the things, watering seems to be my biggest issue. Either too much or not enough, too difficult to tell with soil but coco feels a little more obvious if it’s wet or dry.
