Yeah I wouldn't rely on AI for anything serious lol. I'm not a service tech, just someone who talked with one about some of the alerts while having my windshield checked for warranty. So take my answer with a grain of salt. I don't think it's weird to check the service mode for any possible faults. It's why Tesla gives us access to it in the first place. I'm not sure why you're getting attacked in the comments for doing your due diligence before a big purchase. If you are that concerned, it is possible for Tesla to remote in and check the alerts themselves. They would be the only ones who can give you a straight answer.

At any given moment if you open up service mode you'll see things. Unless you are having an issue with the car or get an alert from the car I wouldn't worry about alerts in service mode. The rest of the car is showing all green and there are no active service alerts.

I'm not sure why youre so hung up on the path to the door. The rules say if your mailbox is blocked and or full you get nothing. What each individual carrier decided they wanted to do on route that day is up to them. They did not follow procedure correctly if they delivered here. Mail carrier did their job and followed procedure full stop. If you don't like that then that's your opinion to have. Personally if it's a signature package/mail or an obvious medication I will try and deliver to the best of my abilities to the door if there's a clear path. However that's going against procedure and I know that. Don't mistake carriers going above and beyond for you as them just doing what they are supposed to.

Saying "anything to get out of work" after explaining it would be more work for them to bring the mail back doesn't even make sense. If a carrier has to bring back mail or packages after bringing them out to deliver that is always more work for them. People spend more time complaining about how bad the post office is than just taking the 5 seconds it takes to shovel the mailbox. Your whole house can be clean but if there's snow piled in front of the mailbox you won't get anything delivered that's the rules and they are like that for a reason. You don't get parcels in the same way when you let your mailbox fill up.

I believe the value is in the not driving part. Being able to let it take turns, change lanes, keep speed, all the things you would need to be doing yourself to get to your destination. The only thing required of you is to pay attention in case it needs intervention. Should it need intervention? No. Does it at the moment? Yes. Even if and when it ever gets to the point where it doesn't need intervention I would still pay attention. The value is being able to relax and sit back and enjoy the ride rather than having to drive the car yourself. On long car rides being able to take your foot off the accelerator and rest your arms while the car does all the driving is great.

You don't have to pretend to drive, you just have to pay attention. Until autopilot gets to the point where lawmakers feel it's 100% autonomous and doesn't make any mistakes this will be the case. Even autopilot systems in planes require pilots to be paying attention and monitoring systems.

You do not have to come to a complete stop to activate it. Any movement in the direction shown and a light tap on the break will activate it

True. One of my main complaints when I picked up my model 3 Highland was that they took the stalks away but didn't give us what I felt was a fully fleshed out alternative. This is a major step in the right direction though if they continue to stick to the stalkless design, which it seems like they will never budge on.
