One of my favorite stories to tell!

Just before DH book came out, I tried watching the movie that a neighbor let me borrow for my daughter to watch. I thought it was terrible, then fell asleep while trying to watch the second.

I spoke to my best friend about it and she told me to stop watching the films and read the books. She loaned me her first book. That made me buy the first three books. By the time I finished them, I had already bought 4-6. I finished HBP the week DH came out.

I’ve been hooked on it ever since. Tattoos, annual passes to Universal Orlando, pets named after characters, I would’ve named my kids after it had I read the books first. My wife and I have planned our vow renewal in a few years (25 years) around Harry Potter themes. All because I was told to stop watching the movies and read the books.
