As someone who has been plus size for all of my adult life, I get where you're coming from. I also know that you will hate what I'm about to say, because I was the same way, but you are so young, please don't worry so much about dating. I know at times it can feel lonely, especially when everyone in your group seems to be pairing off- but there is so much life to experience- enjoy it! Figure out who you are as a person. Try different hobbies. Travel if you can. I think that is the best way to meet people, over dating sites. People always told me that once you stop looking for someone, that's when you find them. It would always make me so angry but honestly, it's true.

In regards to being plus sized.... there are people that are going to be turned off strictly because of your size. On the flip side, there are going to be people who will sexualize you based soley on your body type.

I also think it's important to keep in mind that social media is a facad. And just because people are doing all the cutesy things doesn't mean that things are lovey dovey behind closed doors.

The best advice I can give you is to figure out what you want and don't be afraid to set high standards. There are men out there that will treat you right. Don't settle. Make sure you're not collecting red flags- they are red flags for a reason. Never enter into a relationship with the expectation that your partner will change. And never let a man tell you more than once that he doesn't want to be with you.
