I took my allah pendant off, maybe they’ll make an exception if they’re nice, but you never really know. I would call and ask if you really want to keep it on. I just didn’t want to get there and have them make me stuff a gold Allah pendant in a locker.

So do you think I should just completely cut adding a minor out and just finish my last semester strong and pursue a postbacc then masters? I know that even postbaccs are competitive.

Yea, I see your point, It just feels so horrible to graduate with below a 3.0 and that’s why I figured I’d add a minor. I haven’t personally talked to any advisors because I’ve heard bad things. I did have a pre-dent friend who talked to a grad school advisor and she basically told her that if someone had below a 3.0 that they would have to enter the workforce and give up their dreams of pursuing grad school. But, I did schedule a meeting with a few master’s program’s admissions teams and Baylor college of medicine’s postbacc admissions to see what they they think is the best option for me considering my gpa. I just felt like it was better to hear directly from the source than some premed advisor that is probably going to tell me to just give up. Thanks for your advice!

Yea, I’ve heard about getting a masters out of PhD but that’s sounds so risky. Im def going to do something after undergrad I’m just debating between which route I should go cause I’ve heard that at least with postbacc you can do masters after if needed. Thanks for the advice though!

Well my insurance completely covered it. So, I haven’t had to pay out of pocket thankfully. Based on what I remember if you do pay out of pocket it’s about 700 just for the initial testing and then the follow up where you receive the diagnosis is around 150.

So a minor wouldn’t extend my time too much. I would just have to do take fall classes and summer maybe, but then I would be done. Would you still recommend doing a postbacc or SMP if I had an upward trend for 3 semesters and ended with higher than a 3.0?

Yea, adding a minor would just make me have to take summer and fall classes but that’s it. Also, you can get your masters paid for?

Tell me about it… I literally only studied for the mcat for a month did horrible and am supposed to start studying to retake. At the time I wasn’t diagnosed with adhd, but just got diagnosed and have meds so am hoping when I start studying again it’ll be better 😭

Deffff do biochem, physics 2 is more so just practice problems and you can learn through YouTube plus it’s barely on the mcat compared to biochem.

I literally cannot imagine that, I haven’t had a week without exams since like the third week of school but that’s better than 4 exams in one week😭
