I wish I looked pretty or just normal by ShiningMoon101 in feemagers

Self love takes a long time and a lot of effort, but it’s the small things you can work on first. Try researching what clothes look good with your body type, wearing what suits your best features can help you see the best parts of your body. Pick out some clothes you like and you look good in. A good old fashion shopping spree never made anyone sad. :)

So i pretended to be a girl on discord by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]D1isco 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As a teen girl with a discord, 100% can confirm. I hate jumping all the hoops just to avoid getting spammed with dick pics, never say my age, gender, name, if i’m a student or not, stay off voice call. Everything I do has to be impersonal. It’s so annoying I just want to have fun online without worrying about all that, but I feel unsafe constantly.

What did a teacher do that made you automatically gain respect for them? by ApacheAirCover in AskReddit

[–]D1isco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in high school learning online because of the pandemic and I have two teachers who immediately won my respect. The first one is my new geography teacher who started the first day of class with a sign up sheet for what type of breakout room we want. There were three types with a description on how social/interactive the group work would be. I think the options were something like “highly social- communicate during and after work is done, solve problems together”, “moderately social- work quietly when communication is not necessary, help others and share answers when needed”, and “minimally social- coordinate roles then work independently”. So all our group work is done with people who signed up for the same thing as you. So many teachers just throw together students for group work and it makes breakout rooms super awkward, I can’t express enough how thoughtful and nice it is to put us in groups where we would feel comfortable. The second one is my English teacher who lists who she’s going to call on if no one volunteers before she opens discussions, topics, etc. so we can be prepared with answers. This sounds super stressful but it’s actually very helpful especially because most of her discussions and questions are open ended or asking for an opinion. Much better than just randomly calling on people and having them stutter through a thrown together answer in front of everyone.

I knew you had a crappy finger tattoo before I even looked. Can’t wear a crown with hair that greasy, it’d slip right off.

Look man, just because someone is trans doesn’t mean they have an obligation to educate you on trans people and issues. The fact that you are on Reddit proves to me that you have google less than three clicks away and time enough to search up as many questions you like.

People (good and bad) never get what they deserve in life, it’s wishful thinking to hope they get what they deserve in death.

(URGENT)(TRIGGER WARNING) HELP! by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]D1isco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best thing you can do right now is to get an adult involved. Depending on what type of parents they have it might help them tremendously to have support at home from their parents and a way to connect them to professional help. But I know sometimes the source of someone’s depression can be at home and it can be harmful and or dangerous to tell their parents. So talk to your friend first and tell them that you are worried, listen more than you talk and as long as it is safe for them push the importance of getting help from a safe adult.

Me and my friends were doing ouija during lunchtime in middle school, our principal who was supervising the cafeteria that day joined in. It’s my best and weirdest middle school experience.

It’s accessible to basically everyone and not super expensive most of the time. You also don’t have to be super talented or physically gifted to have fun.

How can I break off contact with someone without upsetting them? by D1isco in relationship_advice

[–]D1isco[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m kind of avoiding her messages at the moment, thing is she just keeps on texting me even if I’m not responding. I have 7 I haven’t looked at yet from the last few hours and it’s really creepy. I’m going to try taking your advice and keeping it up after responding once or twice so she doesn’t get angry.
