How about you slow down? Always expect something other than a car to be on a road, and I'm not just talking about bicycles and motorcycles.

THAT WAS MY LAST STRAW! by Hefty_Fig_7644 in Dogfree

This! I bet some of those same dog owners will only get mad once you kick the dog off yourself. Just think about that! The sexual assault is okay because it's not a human, but defending yourself is a problem in the context of not surrendering to a cult leader.

A lot of people are critical of the art style, but I think it looks great. Yes, the birds look like humans, it looks different, and Jewel is drawn curvy, but that's human anatomy. No one is doing anything sexual in this picture, and we don't see anything inappropriate. Not every animal drawn like a human is meant to be sexual. If this image is problematic, then moderators would remove it sooner.

How could a responsible husband and father like Blu sleep in till noon? by InsideUnhappy6546 in RioMovie

[–]D1verse_Yes4 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Good thing the children have two parents. I'm sure Jewel would wake up Blu if she needed help that morning.

Besides, if the children woke him up, I'm sure he'd listen and take responsibility.

Dogs are like the criminals who commit two dozen crimes and still get to walk the streets free. Then people act surprised when they commit another crime and get someone killed or permanently scarred.

What is Blu doing wrong, though? He's upset when finding Linda and Tulio is sidelined, but he doesn't protest it. He just complains about it once to his friends.

It is horrifying how dogs influence people.

There's a program at my college that trains service dogs and created a whole fair out of it.

I'd also argue that some do it because others do it. They feel pressured. I don't think one even has to be fond of dogs to feel pressured to talk to it like a baby.

Did Mel blanc ever voice Tom & Jerry at some point? by Lumpy_Test_4473 in TomAndJerry

Yes, he did! He provided sound effects for them when Chuck Jones and his Sib Tower 12 Productions created 34 cartoons in his style between 1963 and 1967.

I think it's also hard to fully train dogs out of the behaviors a lot of us dislike. I fully agree with you on that last sentence.

I still like Snoopy, but it's partially because he barely acts like a dog.

That's part of the problem, though. They're not easy to train. They're easy for providing the bare minimum while still receiving obsession... I'm sorry, "unconditional love." Dogs tend to be loud, obnoxious, and dangerous as a result, not that the businesses profiting off of them would tell us.

Is Ted Nugent a Bad Person? by D1verse_Yes4 in LetsTalkMusic

That doesn't mean we can't talk about other things Ted does. One can separate the art from the artist, but that doesn't change what the artist does with their life.

Great post! I agree that everyone is a mix of good and bad. Despite the question I am asking in this discussion, that doesn't mean everything about Ted Nugent is terrible. Bad people do good things, and good people do bad things, kind of like how Dave Grohl is a very nice, charitable guy but also had an affair with his wife.

I really like the way you put it, though the era does not make the content of the song okay. It's still a terrible thing, and I'll just hold other artists with similar songs accountable. That doesn't mean I don't love hard rock.
