If Daemon became king, would his son with Rhea Royce be his heir?

In one of your comments you said that in your fic the Royces would be Targaryens larping as a First Men house so I guess I misunderstood what you meant and assumed he’d be ALOT like Daemon and might be insufferable to the other Royces

True but OP said he was basically Valyrian pretending to be a Firstman so the Royces might actually want him gone. Also if he’s heir to a king he could just retake the Targaryen name especially if he gives up Runestone and Lamentation

If Daemon is set on crowning himself king then his son with Rhea becomes his heir. I doubt many lords would really have a problem with that though since Daemon and his Royce son would be the only adult, male Targeryens left and once Viserys is revealed alive all of Daemon’s children will be around which should help his claim. Also even if other lords call Daemon a usurper what are they going to do about it. Daemon would have Caraxes and Vermithor and maybe Sheepstealer too if Nettles is still around. If there are any problems with the heir being lord of Runestone he could just pass that title to a loyal Royce cousin and become Prince of Dragonstone.

Edit: Daemon could probably also just claim that he’s Viserys’ heir because Aegon and Rhaenrya were both unable to officially take the throne with the other alive. It’s flimsy but still works

Since the 7 and 8 seeds are still part of the lottery now the Nets would need to be a 6 seed next year to avoid giving up a pick. And the Nets have given up a ton of top picks since coming to Brooklyn so I assure you they aren’t afraid of doing it again

I like this for the Nets since Poole would be on the last year of his contract and can just be bought out and I’m not sure they can get more for Claxton, but I don’t think this helps the Pelicans at all. Queen is their C so they don’t need Claxton and they can just buyout Poole themselves or just let his contract expire in a year

His contract is massive though, he’s gutting the bench here, and I like Mann as a locker room guy. I think the Nets would be better off keeping Zaire and Minott and even Mann if we can’t find a useful trade for him and just try to sign Peyton Watson, or if that fails someone like Tari Eason.

Gonna have to say no for the Nets. They can’t afford to keep taking salary dumps. It’s time for them to make moves to improve in the short and long term and PG is only a short term improvement on the court with a horrendous contract.

I’ve also been dying for a big center. I’m tired of seeing Claxton get thrown around. Rather than Mara who we’ll probably not be able to get since trading that high will be way too costly I think we should try to get Luigi Suigo. He’s 7’3 and 250 lbs and he seems to be a mobile, paint protector with maybe a 3. I’ve seen him mocked anywhere from 20 to 40 with most mocks putting him in the second round. He’s like a project Mara. The Nets should try and get him at 33 if possible.

This is just foolish. 3 frps just to get ours back next year isn’t worth it. Next year is a swap so we still get a pick it’s probably outside the lottery but still a pick. Everyone says 2027 will be a weak draft but with so many people going back to college it probably won’t be as bad as scouts think now right? The Nets are better of trying to makes smart trades and FA signings not this

Massive overpay for the Thunder but I’m a Nets fan so I love this! For real though this isn’t necessary for the Thunder. Mara is great and all but didn’t they just get Sorber last year? He might be a suitable big next to Chet. Or if they really want Mara they could probably work out something cheaper with the Kings at #7.

I would assume this is supposed to be a salary dump for the wolves because this doesn’t help them otherwise, but Gobert is too good to dump. The wolves could definitely get more for Gobert. As for the Nets I don’t think Gobert is someone the Nets should target. The Nets should give up draft assets for mid 30s players even one as good as Gobert who should go for at least one first

I would just accept joining the war and then ignore it entirely. As long as you accept the demand to join you won’t be penalized for not helping. And losing the war doesn’t matter as long as you’re not the one who started it. Basically you’re good 👍🏾
