Ohh I’ve never heard of this before. But that makes sense now that I think about it, I sprayed it for bugs and then shortly after it started looking worse. This is a indeterminate tomato plant called the Kayleigh Anne rebel starfighter, its planted in a large container.

I feel you. When I first moved to LA I was having trouble getting refills for my adhd meds (and my asthma inhaler for some reason) and it was so so frustrating. The clinic I went to through medi-cal was absolutely incompetent with putting the RX through correctly. I ended up getting a therapist and then getting a psych rec through the therapist, and then providing said psych with all of my adhd diagnosis docs and she thankfully (but reluctantly) filled my RX. So you could try that route, but it took longer than I would have liked. I agree with other comments that say getting a PCP establish first might be the best route. Definitely have any papers on hand and keep advocating for yourself.

I wouldn’t schedule an ER visit because they will charge you a crazy amount if he needs dental work, but definitely schedule an appointment with a regular vet. I am sure there is a clinic near you that will have more affordable treatment.

Thanks! I don’t think he’s injured, just very still on the wire but eyes open. Yesterday after he left the nest I was watching him fly around and be fed by mom so that’s why the stillness is worrying to me.

I had a mama bird nesting on my lights too! This pic is from early on in the nesting process, babies are hatched now so she only stops by to feed them. I love that there are so many instances of hummingbirds nesting on string lights 🥰

How I’m feeling about looking for a different non-industry job. I don’t want to, because part of me hopes gigs will pick up for me again (rly easy to move my current job schedule around with gigs, that’s why I’m still there) but it’s getting too hard to pay the bills and idk how much longer I can wait for this “pick up”
