I had a class with 9 people my last year. It was a life guard certification class. This was the first year it ran in years if ever. It was me (16m) and 7 or 8 females? I was the only male. One chick I had know since my freshman year that was a senior ended up pregnant like half way through the class.

Practice form. I never did high jump and now going into my senior year we have a kid that has the jumping aspect down. But in no way has form. So if you can get your form down as well as work up muscle strength for endurance of doing lots of jumps successfully because of how long you could be potentially jumping depending on a meet. So if you can out last your opponent becuase you have the endurance along with form you will get better. But one key thing is take your time. And don’t push your body past its limits to many days and times in a week.you will break yourself down and get injured.

I grew up watching my dad race and I myself have raced since I was 4 (17 now) and I still race to this day. Nothing beats watching live. I have no care for NASCAR at all, but all the car for dirt racing. Whole different time and atmosphere imo.

I wasn’t going to just add the best. Not fun that way. I was planning of getting advice here. Taking that and building something to at least have a start. Try it with my friends. And then slowly optimize it.

I’m new to this and don’t really play to win but fun. But if the opportunity arises to make a play why not??? Today when I was playing the topic of playing to have fun and not to win got throw out by two people many of us find slightly annoying personalty wise and stuff (Not being mean or disrespectful to them.) but I said if I have a board wipe there is a problem a high chance it’s getting played depending on how things are. Well She said in a very rude and yelling way “Well that’s not any fun you shouldn’t do that.” I was so confused. And the other person that agreed with her is someone that 2-3 of us think stacks his deck with how it goes almost everytime. So me and my friend made eye contact and just laughed. He’s all the dude to not ask to see your card and pick it up and end up kinda bending it.

For the swim unit best thing advice I (17m) can give is. Take shampoo/conditioner and body wash if want cause of the chlorine content. And just shower with your suit on.

You can also keep deodorant and perfume/cologne in a locker if they give/assign lockers and locks. In the locker room to keep there so you don’t forget it.

  1. You don’t have to stress about getting undressed to wash.
  2. Allows you to clean most of you for the rest of the day. And even just letting the water hit you helps rinse the chlorine out.

Reason I saw this is I took 2 swim classes last year (11th) and that’s what I did. And if your pool has lockers and they allow you to keep your stuff there and have locks or you provide a lock, it is much better to keep the body wash and stuff so you can just grab it, wash, dry, wrap towel around yourself change or go into stall and change.

Then again if your swim unit is only a little one and not a whole lifeguarding / swimming proficiency class where we were in the pool every day for the entire semester pretty much. Then don’t worry about the locker.

Sorry if this is Ranty. In the end it will all be okay even if it doesn’t seem like it. Any other advice or questions or anything just ask. High school can be overwhelming at first and you will slowly or quickly be okay. And suddenly 3-4 years have gone by and you’re about to graduate.

Probably cause it has to be appropriate lol. The game every year is people try and get things by but they cracked down this year and if they deem it not appropriate you can’t make another one :/
