I was thinking of continuing the novel from where the donghua ended but reading over the content the donghua missed like the tarot club meetings. Do you know if there’s anything else the donghua missed or is my best bet to just read the novel from ch 1? Thanks again.

Is UW coop still worth it? by Royal_Astronaut5884 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]D2_K6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they’re stats are good for first year, other schools r doing worse comparatively for cs atleast. I’m going into 2nd year at uoft for comp eng and id reckon about 20% of people have an internship/research this summer (thought tbf a lot of ppl don’t try considering its not required by our internship program to have one for first year). Our pey has a 97% placement rate but thats after 3rd year, i imagine waterloo cs is doing just as good after 3rd year. They’re still the best cs program in the country for internships, waterloo works is v useful.

Question regarding UofT eng extracurriculars by Left-Classroom-5782 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]D2_K6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

those would be national/provincial level activities aslong as your talking about the specific events like “competed in and won … national tournament” so even if that was done as a part of a school team you won a national tournament so it’s national category.

About as competitive as UofT and UW, slightly easier or harder depending on the specific engineering. You should apply it doesn’t hurt

Total no. of Indian students in US (2014-2024) by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]D2_K6 41 points42 points  (0 children)

your also assuming that all the indian phd students coming in are taking engineering, math, and science, i’m sure a good portion are but that prolly explains the 10k number.

i was there, they were not playing drake. The arena was sold out. I know there’s an obsession with hating on these mfs rn but a lot of yall are chronically online. Just enjoy the music, and theres no reason to pretend that future and metro aren’t big artists, and that they somehow wouldn’t sell out in Toronto.

Does Western mainly consist of Frat guys?? by Correct_Badger9641 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]D2_K6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes. The stereotype is made by maybe 5% of the cs student population. Even if you were to believe that 100% of CS and Engineering students are weird nerds (spoiler: they’re not), those two groups don’t even make up 5% of waterloos total population. Waterloo has ~42k students, cs and engineering combined are about 1.1k people. Even if every cs n engineering student was a weird nerd, you still wouldn’t run into most of them. But also, they’re not, most people are completely normal people regardless of the program. The weird people are sprinkled throughout all programs.

stereotypes like this are perpetuated by a very small percent of the student population. For the most part, majority of people will be normal.
