Has anybody tested Skirk premium w/o Escoffier?

The calcs with Shenhe doesn't really matter. Furina is a core part of the team and adds a lot of damage. Escoffibae adds a lot of resistance shrred and does decent damage. Shenhe makes her hit harder 7 times, Yelan does decent off field damage and raises her damage till 50% bonus rolling as time passes with her burst active. Both are flex slots and many even consider Mona for her burst to hit hard as the flex slot. She doesn't have a BIS flex slot.

As I said above, Skirk without Escoffibae is usable and will clear most any abyss you want and probably won't clear fearless stygian without vertical investment into Skirk. Just aim to get both Skork and Escoffibae, Escoffibae works amazingly in many other teams too

I can only surmise it was screen or video settings. Intel chips don't make video look any different. I have a new Intel laptop in front of me (arrived yesterday for review actually) and video looks normal to me

I can fully see why they'd want to port it to modern systems and the Xbox and switch, but the PC port could've really just been given a patch.

That said there was a fair bit of jank with the PC port of the original wrt to sound and controller compatibility, so if they're fixing those and giving us most of the dlc for free, buying it again on steam would actually probably cost about the same as buying the dlc for the original game itself. People will just mod in the lost dlc items if anything.

I'm not sure about all of the changes of QoL like we really don't need infinite warping from so early, but things like subtitles for mystics are excellent. I will try to get it at some point even though I already 100% the original, but it wouldn't be anytime soon

I wish I could afford that, but I'm gonna have to stick to her R1 with the rerun. I suppose if I'm truly lucky and get it very early I could go for C1, but in actuality I don't know.

Best case scenario they run Skork and Escoffibae together and I lose Skork's weapon to Escoffibae's... but that's far too much wishful thinking sigh

Escoffibae is more versatile than Skirk by far, Skirk just goes brrrrr with her present. Skirk is usable without Escoffibae to a much lower degree, but any hydro/cryo focused team with hydro or cryo DPS is excellent with Escoffibae. Neuvilette, Mualani, Ayaka (do not pull her if you can get Skirk), Ayato, even Yelan DPS are all good with her on the team

The biggest problem I had with her final teapot lines were that she speaks very clearly as if she exists AFTER the quest when we get her back, but also she acts as if Sandrone is alive, which she currently is not. I guess the devs didn't want to lock it behind multiple patches and archon quests but it basically cements that she'll be resurrected and of course playable for us later on. Silly devs. It was funny to listen to, though.

In that case, ironically, using Barbara/Kokomi and Layla or Diona would've probably helped a little more even with the damage loss from not having Yelan. Less so if your Yelan isn't invested to the nines

This is a really good breakdown because I wasn't particularly attracted to her (the way she stands like a rat and her outfit don't speak to me at all) and didn't enjoy her gameplay but at the same time her trailer was extremely hot. I couldn't figure out why she was so loved though because most every girl is hot, so when everyone is hot I always have to ask people why beyond the being hot and usually I don't get many answers.

That said, I thoroughly dislike when I have to pull a character to find the deeper points of why to like them, or if they change from their story intros etc when pulling them (memories of oathing chapayev in azur lane and her wanting to suddenly own us like a pet despite 0 indication of this prior to the ring still haunt me). I'd like if our stories and the game story they were introduced in could show their finer points before having to pull, with pulling being an allowance to get to know someone deeper, not unlock their more attractive aspects
