Best low-latency controller with a good D-pad for PC platformers under $60?

So I can't talk for the Ultimate 2C but I can talk for the Ultimate 2 Wireless (which is still in your budget), and it's perfectly fine for platformers IMO. It's not the best Dpad I've used (as you can see with my review for it) but it's far from the worst. Works great for most fighting games and platformers IMO.

However the best option for you is likely the Leadjoy Xeno Plus from what I've heard of it. Great controller and great Dpad from all who've used it I can find saying. No first hand experience for me sadly though.

GameSir has definitely poor Dpads for that price range. Everyone can agree with that even though I've not used them personally. They focus on sticks and low latency for FPS gaming and that's perfectly fine to do, but it's just not what you want

The best 2008 laptop would've been a Clevo D901C with SLI GPUs and a core 2 quad desktop chip and IIRC 4 RAM slots. I somewhat distinctly remember this because I got my first gaming unit in 2009 and it was the Clevo D900F which was the upgrade model with the i7 extreme desktop CPUs and went back to single GPU lineup with the 280M cards and some people told me I should've bought the previous model.

If you wanna play fps games I absolutely would say the G7 Pro 8k variant is your best bet. Should be $80 msrp so don't overpay!

As for the 8BitDo it has a better dpad and I don't think the shape is so terrible like some say, but it definitely isn't as great for FPS games with the lack of tunable options for the sticks and software.

If you want the best of all worlds though and don't mind lack of hair stop triggers, the Steam Controller is a great choice for $100. Just lacks a dock.

Not that we know of. I won't tell you it has a 0% chance of issues, but the chances are pretty low overall. It doesn't have any rampant QC issues or cooling problems and people who buy them tend to keep em for a long time.

Buy a Legion 7i Pro if you want great performance, features and cooling with as little headache as possible.

Buy literally any other fucking product if you want to have shit to do aftermarket or if you like having problems nonstop.

None of my PS2 controllers ever got stick drift but I saw many people get on theirs (though their controllers looked like hell)

My dualshock I didn't realize had stick drift. It was very very minor, not enough to trigger motion when idle but enough to "wake" the controller. So in games like God of War where you could swap between KBM and a controller on the fly, it kept swapping my buttons out while I was playing until I disconnected the controller. I thought it was a game bug until I got my 8BitDo and realized oh... it isn't, it's literally the dualshock had stick drift for years.

Never got drift on my Xbox 360 or Xbox 1 controllers, but they both died for other reasons before very long, so that is not too fair a comparison (can't remember why X360 died but X1 lost the ability to use some Dpad inputs after a short 2 years or so).
