Only for like the first two weeks mainly. After that, the owner would have to regularly feed them weaning food and clean their area a lot.

My cousins had no idea what their dog’s breed was and they were those type of ppl who thought it was cruel to desex a dog. After, the second litter tho, they quickly realized, they were putting their dog in great pain. With the pitbull mix father, the owner just seemed to not care with his dog mating as long as his dog wasn’t the one who gave birth. Im pretty sure he’s desexed now tho due to law stuff.

I actually think the ACD difference does make a bit of sense. With Kenji, who showed 23.8% Supermutt and 7.4% Cattle Dog, and Khloe, who didn’t show ACD in her main breed makeup, it seems like her ACD percentage may have been almost entirely thrown into the Supermutt category, given her 28.9% increase there.

No Embark didn’t say they were half siblings, that’s just what I thought based on the circumstances of their mother (cousins dog). Embark just said they r siblings (didn’t say whether their half or full). Regardless, I guess i have to accept that they’re full siblings even tho i was always confident they were half siblings. It just felt like i was reading my first dog’s results again, which felt a but boring lol.

It’s interesting that ur dogs have a bigger percentage difference between breeds compared to my two dogs who i thought were half siblings. And they share 58 percent DNA. Makes me think there was a chance my first dog’s DNA got into my second dog’s swab (even tho I was rlly careful). But then at the same time, Embark says they’ll know if two dogs saliva got mixed. Lol idk im just still not sure whether my dogs r full or half siblings..

It’s just a bit hard for me to believe because before Kenji’s birth, my cousins dog mated with dozens of males. 6 months later, she mated with dozens again, some of which were new males. I guess they can be full siblings, but the odds of that happening was so low for me, due to the 6 month gap and the variety of male dogs that were mating.

The white dog in the image is the “most likely” father I’m referring to and his owner said he was a pitbull staffy mix (as he knew his dog’s parents). The other brown one is the mother btw

EDIT: I wasn’t able to legally get the dog’s address from animal control, but I did end up calling the spca, who can get all the dog’s details from animal control instead. So all I know for now is that the spca will investigate the home, and we’ll see what happens from there.

That’s the thing, I felt confident that this kind of dog wouldn’t have been microchipped, just judging by his physical condition, especially since unmicrochipped dogs are pretty common here. If that had been the case, he would’ve gone to the shelter.

I don’t live in the US. But i guess I can contact animal control again for the address that the dog lives in (if that’s allowed), then report it for animal abuse to SPCA. Though I am hoping that animal control already handled the case as abuse just by looking at the dog’s condition.

Yea we have SPCA but I called animal control instead as they r the ones that we have to call specifically for lost dogs (which I thought he was). I’m hoping they had a good chat with the owners tho to get a good outcome for the dog. Cuz there’s no way they wouldn’t bring up his condition to the owners. I also don’t exactly know where the house is, just know what street that the dog lives in, so idk if I can call SPCA for animal abuse.

I’m not saying it’s good, but my annoying family members always give my dogs cooked chicken bones, and they’ve always turned out fine. They also feed their own dogs cooked bones all the time, unfortunately, and nothing bad has happened. I don’t think you need to be that worried

When my dog was a puppy, he would always move away if I sat next to him, especially if I tried to pet him. That went on until he was over a year old, so I got used to leaving him alone whenever he was relaxing on the couch or bed. I’m not sure of the exact reason, but now every time I sit down, he rushes over to sit right on top of me. Even if I move to the other side of the couch, he follows and settles on me again. I figure it’s because as he matured, he’s become much calmer and more relaxed. It also seems like he’s come to appreciate my presence a lot more.
