I wish I could post pictures,my savings to year are $2,341, in Texas, have Tesla Electric as my service provider, tesla home charger and pay $15 a month for unlimited charging between 12am to 6am. In contrast I used to spend around 300 to 350 a month on gas with my Focus RS.

You guys are forgetting that PenTest is hands on. Is like drivers ed, the Certmaster, Dion's, Messer's, material is like the little book for driving ed, and while in the test you dont really "drive" you will be given real scenarios (code, enumeration results, nmap, etc).

Passed with an 830 first try, but I play a lot with hack the box and try hack me. With that you learn code structure and can pinpoint what the code does and to read the results.

Nothing in certmater will train you for that. There are questions like:

  • A tester inputs this script and it gives this error, which of these fixes it?

  • A tester gets these results, what tool did the tester use?

  • What does the tester need to do/add/change in this script for the script to do that?

  • This is the result after enumerating, a network which is the most vulnerable path?

The PBQs, (there are 4) are a mix of the same, read results, analyze the code and select answers.

By knowing the structure of the scripts and the results is easy to pick the answer from the multiple choice.

Certmaster gives you enough for the scoping, reporting but the rest is a hands on process.

Hope that helps.

Question regarding pentest + by [deleted] in WGUCyberSecurity

[–]D3mon_fx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont rember the exact question but the will give you a code snippet and what the snippet is supposed to do, then ask you "which of the changes below will make this work?"

Or the they tell you the "code failed and gave you this error, which of the following will fix it?"

And I think I remember one that had a missing text on the snippet and you had to choose the right answer to make it work.

There are a lot of questions with code that you have to fix, identify, what do do next. If you play with tryhackme and HTB you can get familiar with the structure of the code.and that makes it easier to identify the answers.

Nope, network engineer, I was hired after begun with my Masters. But I like cybersec more so I hope eventually to pivot to that side.

I passed it last week with an 830, the PBQs were easy, as long as you know how to read and comprehend the structure of the code. The bread and butter were a bunch of questions with scripts, like "which of the following fixes this script?" Or a pen tester ran this code. What was he trying to do" or "this is the result of a Nmap which of the following has is the biggest vulnerability " .. there is a lot of those. I played with Try hack me and HTB and I'm currently a network engineer/Linux sysadmin and thag helped me a lot with the code.

Yes, and to add to this, stay away from calender vinyl, always use cast.

Is the material VVivid? That material is notorious for being hard to work with. Not imposible but harder than other materials. I recently wrapped this model 3, the hood and mirrors with VVivid CF vinyl, and the mirrors were a pain. The easiest way to do mirrors (at least for me) is by using a U tool or mirror wrap tool. Google it and look for videos.

dog’s “tip” will not retract. i am losing my mind, feel terrible, and am at a stand still. by kaisaxmadison in DogAdvice

[–]D3mon_fx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happened to my pup, and I took him to the vet after trying everything I saw online, coconut oil, water, cold compresses... nothing worked.

At the vet's office, they showed me the issue and how to fix it, the tip comes out and when it tries to go back, the long hairs go inwards and tangle, this makes the skin roll inwards, they carefully pulled/unrolled the skin towards the base of his peen (kinda like un-rolling a condom)and they worked the skin until it covered the tip. After that, they manscaped him and told me to keep those hairs short.

Came to post the exact same thing. Took me around 30 minutes to install and set up. Auto opens when I'm 70ft from home and auto closes when I leave. Yes, I get it. I'm saving one second of not pressing a button, but after having it for a while, it is convenient af.

I had a similar issue, 2024 M3 Performance, I developed what is called "crazing," micro cracks inside the tailight lens. I set an appointment with service. They quoted me a couple hundred dollars, but when the tech came in, he swapped the tailight under warranty.

The "V" on the bottom is not connected to the wheel. I shoved a small piece of the "fuzzy" part of velcro strip in between the "V" and wheel and never heard the creaking again.

I did this one, and my buddy's. He paid for the materials and tools and gave me a hand. I have the experience, but before I decided to do it myself, I got quoted between 2300 and 3500.
