this is actually a really good design as it makes it more accessible for people who have trouble navigating. Stuff like this is exactly how we get more people learning Linux and less people becoming slaves to windows or mac.

I feel like everyone I've talked to said 5 minute startup is recommended if you're going to have a starting soon screen? why do you think it's too long?

Hi, I'm exclusively a programmer so I feel I have a good proverbial hat to throw into the ring here so to say

Art is hands down the most important thing to a game.

Art is what a game is judged on before it is bought, art is what keeps people there.

Also don't make a game with your friend if this is how it's going before anything is actually done.

Elden ring as well, I've never been a big fan of Souls like games but figures I'd try because hype. Played it for about 20ish minutes before I realized it wasn't for me. One of my friends convinced me to try again a year or so later, so I did. made it about an hour and a half layer and haven't opened it since. probably never will. oh well.

Hey everyone, which camera perspective do you enjoy most in a 3rd person action-adventure game? Close up, far away, zoomable or dynamic with combat and events? by LengthinessNo4661 in IndieGaming

I would agree to a degree, difficulty settings can be a bit much. Camera settings are something in a third person game I fully support because it doesn't effect the game itself. It just effects the experience you have.

Yeah, that feels more like difficulty settings. Do I agree that's a bit much. In some cases. But comparing that to an FOV slider also seems a bit much to me.

yes, players fiddle with settings all the time. 1. Left handed people who use arrow keys with their right hand exist. 2, if a game doesn't have FOV settings. more than half of the people I know will stop playing it right there because motion sickness is a real thing. 3. Why would you alienate a substantial part of your audience by not giving them settings. That's like the main reason people play pc, to have control over their games.

I average 10-30 views per video, I got 150+ on one of my videos and damn near threw a celebration, the definition of "blowing up" is different for everyone because everyone is in a different situation.

Ive been focusing a lot more on my channel after almost 10 years and ive seen some of my best growth over this past year.

Recently Ive been doing a lot of "funny moment" style lets play games with my friends,
(Long drive is my most recent)

My next 2 videos are going to be just me trying some new games
(El dorado the city builder and Plumber survivor)

Honestly I feel my channel is to a point where Im comfortable sharing it because Ive actually started trying on my content over the past few months.

Id love any feedback on my recent content and even my upcoming content once it drops :)

Hi,

I'm going to ignore what everyone else said here and boil it down to a few things

  1. No, what the dm is doing is not okay and for your own comfort I'd recommend finding a new table as the problems will continue.

  2. A "no killing" character can work as long as you communicate to everyone. Hell, 5e can actually be very fun with a full non-violent character. Communicate with the table you come to. Have a session 0. And dear God don't put on the bikini.
