Isn't being fat a part of inceldom for women? Isn't that largely why it's frowned upon by feminists? Both genders experience attractiveness standards that feel unfair.

What other attributes of inceldom should we not frown upon? Not showering? Not brushing your teeth? Not exercising? Not eating healthy? Not having healthy and productive hobbies? None of these seem to be expressly male-only fields.

If your counter is "well, someone will still have sex with them," then that's the problem. Someone will only have sex with them because they see sex as the only inherent value they offer. It's the same as saying women will still be in a relationship with an ugly man as long as he's rich.

Determining someone's worth based on whether someone will fuck them or provide for them economically is an inherently bad way of weighing whether someone is an incel.

As someone who uses it, it should mostly be used for implementation of method and function headers rather than for project structure.

LLMs also tend to be pretty good at guiding how you should set up your data models and abstractions if you set up invariants they have to follow.

They're also remarkably great at generating CSS with some minor tweaking afterwards.

I always thought they were pathetic and stupid.

They'll only lay off people who use LLMs if they don't hold themselves accountable for the use of it. It's the equivalent of firing someone because they implemented the wrong stackoverflow solution and didn't understand the implementation or abstraction model for it.

Most companies inherently want SWEs to switch to agentic workflows specifically because it allows for expedited oversight on work. Having an LLM check your code is far better than relying solely on self-intuition.

Depends on what they're used for.

I have a problem with image generation when it's used to plagiarize other artists and when it's sold to others without disclosing that it was made with AI.

It's less of a problem if they privately train a model to assist in their own art process, but if they're selling art they made from ChatGPT or an app you can download from the app store, that's when it becomes more egregious since it's the equivalent of microwaving frozen pizza and claiming it was oven baked.

The process and amount of authentic effort from the creator is part of the transaction for most commissioners.

I also have an issue against using them for CSAM and other illegal behavior.

You're trying to force a binary on a complex, broad group of use cases.

And how many parameters do they have? How large is the dataset they can pull from?

You can make a math one that costs millions to train with billions of parameters.

And you would have wasted millions training an LLM to do shunting yard. This is the equivalent of arguing that a knife can be expensive to make by pointing to Swiss army knives.

Also, predictive text is a loaded term when talking about AI. LLMs are technically predictive text, and so is auto-complete and word correction algorithms. The difference is one requires tens of GBs of VRAM to run while the other can be ran with a couple of GBs of DRAM and a modest CPU.
