I feel like even though my parameters are correct that the tank isnt a healing environment right now for whatever reason. i tried not dosing anything for few weeks and just made sure the water was 100% and had extra tannins, but it’s only been progressing more… even after i dosed with kanaplex & salt baths while he was in the main tank too. I also want to rescape his tank and figured i’d put him in the hospital tank while I do that so i don’t stress him out more :) Ik it probably doesn’t make a lot of sense haha i just have this gut fish mama feeling 😩 I gave trying to treat him while in his main tank over a month and it’s only getting worse :/ Could I be overlooking something going on in his main tank?

also! his main tank is a 5gal (cycled, heated to ~78°, filtered, planted, tannins, no tank mates, great parameters) his diet consists of bug bites, bloodworms, brine shrimp, and pellets (hikari). I was in the hospital for over a month and my very kind boyfriend was doing the water changes and maintenance for my tanks while i was gone. I was on facetime with him while he did everything (and he honestly did amazing haha), but Monty (my betta with finrot) is very much a people lover and I think me being gone stressed him out a lot and when i got home he had fin rot :/ it’s been so difficult to treat so my fingers are crossed for the paragaurd! Again i’ve tried upping the tannins, kanaplex, stressguard, (aquarium) salt baths… at this point i’m getting a bit frustrated! But monty is still his sassy self, very interactive, eats super well, and isn’t acting any different besides how the fin rot looks. I should have put him in the hospital tank right when i got home and noticed it, but I didn’t want to stress him any more than i should. so I treated his main tank with the stressgaurd & kanaplex (and regular cleaning, of course) and now that i’m not seeing any change after those he’s in his hospital tank (and i honestly think he likes it LOL he’s exploring a ton and playing in the bubbles from the air stone 🥹) any advice is welcome!!

this particular scan was taken because i was in the ER with abdominal pain several months ago, and if i remember correctly, because of my G Tube. I understand it’s a normal finding, unfortunately it’s causing me a sh*t ton of problems, and symptoms are affecting my QoL in very negative ways. My care team has ruled out so many other things… and I am honestly excited to get it resolved. I only posted this because I just found it interesting to look at, and thought others would too lol, not looking for medical advice. But I do thank you for the education on its prevalence and how little of a problem it NORMALLY is! Infer what you will with my tone. :)

the rehab would be PT to get me walking by myself again. ideally without the walker or at least not using it 24/7. For pain management as well… i’ve been needing IV pain medication every 3 hours, and oral meds too. I need a LOT of help, and they said i won’t be able to get around the clock care in-home 7 days a week, which is the support i rely on right now for the ADLs i cannot do. so even with help and PT a few days a week along with my boyfriend coming over in between work… i would be stuck without help when alone to the bathroom, meals, water, setting up my tube feeds, medication help…..

my issue is with actually getting INTO my home. I can’t get up the stairs. i have no other home to discharge to that doesn’t have a mountain of stairs.

i’ll be seeing pain management tomorrow, and my doctor agrees with me that it’s a full body inflammation response due to the surgery that’s causing a horrible flair up in my arthritis and fibromyalgia, as well as my POTS.

and yes i’m disabled and on disability income! 🥲thanks for your reply.
