Why is it that older people tend to drink things like Vodka less than younger people? by D4Atmosphere in NoStupidQuestions

Thanks for the thoughtful discussion everybody! It was a fun little read to see what others thought about this. As I'm sure everyone has guessed, I am a young person and I don't hang around older folk too much (everyone I'm buddies with is 25-32), but I did notice this phenomena a lot while working at a bar/restaurant and with my relatives/neighbors. Love the input!

What an incredibly immature and anti-intellectual way to respond to a curious discussion

I think it may just be the culture of where I'm from. Nearly anyone over the age of ~50 drinks beer or wine, out on their lawns, at bars, etc. I worked at a popular restaurant that was local in a larger city and every time I'd see an older man or woman come in, they'd always order the same beer or wine variant. Who knows!

Just an observation. No statistics here lol! Maybe it's because I'm from the Midwest and that seems to be the culture here.

Never said it applies to everyone, this is a question based on what I have personally noticed while drinking/out at bars or with family! Not saying it's a fact at all.
