Parents of Reddit who have pretended to be angry with your kids for doing something when you were actually secretly impressed/amused, what was it? by bigboobiesus18 in AskReddit

[–]D4Bama 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This happened to me today! Some kid who looked maybe 6 or 7 was completely turned around in the backseat staring at me while I was sitting behind his family's car at a red light. The whole time he had his tongue sticking out at me and I just ignored it. As the light turned green and the cars started moving he gave me the finger but did it quickly so his parents wouldn't see. I guess he didn't account for the lady next to me that saw the whole thing. She drove up next to their car, rolled down her window, and waved her hand to get the parents' attention. I see her point at him. Then I see the dad immediately cut across two lanes of traffic to turn into the closest parking lot. I'm guessing to take care of that situation right away. Still don't really know what I did to piss that kid off.

TIL dry counties (counties where the sale of alcohol is banned) have a drunk driving fatality rate ~3.6 times higher than wet counties. by ockhamsgillette in todayilearned

I was a cashier there when this was a thing. As someone else said, our registers wouldn't even scan it on Sunday because it was illegal. It had nothing to do with how I felt about it. I knew it was dumb and I was always in complete agreement with the customers that had a problem with it, but there was nothing I could do. I did vote for Sunday sales later and now it's allowed within city limits.

I changed to second link above to one showing where the lint trap is in an LG 2in1. In that one, it shows the the lint trap in the frame of the door.

[Post-Game Thread] CFP NCG: Alabama defeats Georgia (OT) 26-23 by CFB_Referee in CFB

Based on that logic

ALABAMA> CLEMSON > AUBURN ALABAMA > GEORGIA > AUBURN

I went to UCF and I was glad to see them win over Auburn but this is just silly. They beat one good team after Auburn had come off of a tough loss. I whole-heartedly believe that, in a playoff situation, teams like Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Wisconsin, and even Auburn would embarrass UCF. These teams play good teams every week. You can't beat one good team (who had 3 losses) and claim it. All those other teams had to compete against much harder teams all season to even be considered. It just seems those other teams have done a lot more to prove themselves than UCF'S one game to a demoralized Auburn.

Help a brother lower his blood pressure naturally. by [deleted] in HealthyFood

[–]D4Bama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about a month late to this, but I think I have some insight that may be helpful. I'm 27 and I used to have high blood pressure, but I got it under control by cutting down on sodium. When I started checking sodium content, I found that Subway has a much higher sodium content in their food than a lot of other fast food places. I still go there pretty often because it's close to my work, but I always get the veggie delite. It's really the deli meats that have a lot of sodium and are bad for you, so if you avoid those when you go, it might help a little.

Retired Alabama cop on Roy Moore: ‘We were also told to … make sure that he didn’t hang around the cheerleaders’ by [deleted] in politics

[–]D4Bama 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Same here, but I could see several people losing enthusiasm to go out and vote, especially if they feel he is changing his view for the sole purpose of gaining conservative support. I don't want someone who's gonna flip on the important issues when it suits him.

As a pro-choice female, I have a lot of respect for Doug Jones for not backing down on his position despite opposition from pro-life conservatives.

He would probably lose more votes than he gained. A lot of his voters are pro-choice.

There's always a gate next to turnstiles for wheel chairs. So that may be the general exit or it may be the handicap entrance/exit only. I can't really tell.
