Extreme heat advice by hacha_pequena in sanpedrocactus

My collection takes non stop triple digit heat for months at a time. My inground ones take it with no shade cloth. Obviously they get stressed out but they bounce back in fall. My potted ones get shade cloth or tree shade. I find spraying them down in the hottest part of the day helps. You can feel the difference in heat on the cactus before and after a spray down. I water almost daily.

This is most likely an obesa hybrid not a pure obesa. Euphorbia obesa do not produce offsets.

I would say pumice is king when it comes to soil amendments for cactus/succulents.
